>>548298096The problem is that gacha sells gameplay in the form of characters (with exceptions, I think ToF mostly sell weapons?), they can't adapt the gameplay of a game designed to have only 6-10 characters in it's full extent by adding one every 3 weeks. It's at least not as bad as the turn based gacha, which will have characters with like 3-4 options when regular jrpgs often have hundreds of options per character. Though my issue with tales of is the floatiness of the combat, something snappy like wuwa but with the options would be an amazing game.

AAA gachas can't make revenue without pandering to the normalfag crowd. This includes Wuwa.The problem is most normalfags have moved on from gacha, them getting in to it was a special incident that happened at a specific time during covid. It won't be replicable anymore. That's why all these AAA gacha trying to be the next Genshin are going to lose money and go in to EoS soon. Gacha will return to how it was before Genshin, mostly glorified png collectors with linear limited gameplay.
