Alternatively on wedge missions, kill the guy that drops the wedges from far away and don't pick up the wedges, you'll end the mission without them picked up. And since the same thing goes for secret letter clues and all other items, killing enemies outside of pickup range means you don't pick up their items unless you stop afking and go to pick them up before the mission ends.
