Finished Tane’s route. It was fun! I think the structure was a bit uneven, though. The route starts off very strong with the rooftop recording/delinquent shenanigans and reaches its height with Chouji beating Yorimitsu. After that, it loses all its momentum. The second half is a rotation of an H-scene, a ten-minute comedy sketch, and then another H-scene. Anything introduced after the sex begins remained completely undeveloped just so Chouji and Tane can go from H-scene to H-scene as soon as possible. I'm not sure why Chouji and Tane even get their own apartment, if nothing interesting was going to come of it. The entire subplot could have been dropped entirely, and nothing would change, since all they do in their new home is have sex constantly. It's fine to breed like rabbits after you get your own place, but you need to balance it! I want to hear about managing expenses and buying groceries ALONGSIDE the sex! There's no point otherwise. I suppose when it comes to cohabitation routes, nothing comes close to Chris's route in Majikoi... I think if one or two H-scenes were cut and the route was maybe an hour longer to develop everything a bit more, the route could have flowed a lot better. It was still enjoyable overall, though. Tane was very cute, and that more than makes up for my stupid gripes with the story. Ryou's route is next... mainly because I don't want to end the VN on a low note by doing it last.

On one hand it's very enjoyable and fun to read; you can take a break almost anywhere because the scenes are unrelated to each other for the most part. The whole structure reminds me more of a comedy anime than a visual novel. On the other hand, I can't imagine an actually serious plot to take place if this episodic format goes on further into the heroine routes.

I read muvluv. It was really good but also kinda ass. Miki, Chizuru and Kei barely develop at all and just exist to take up space for 90% of it, especially the latter two, which is really impressive to be out-characterized by the moeblob (Mikoto is excluded because I like her) The other valkyries instantly make themselves more interesting just by having a motivation that isn’t boning takeru (its boning some other guy), but they don’t get to do much either. Hell, I felt there was setup for Meiya to learn not to self sacrifice at every opportunity, but that never really happened either. For some reason sumika’s battered housewife syndrome made her love for takeru the most compelling though, which is good cuz it was important. It was fun to watch takeru become a real human being and maybe even develop theory of mind as the narrative progressed. Yuuko is alright too, she is funny and evil.8/10
