After playing Majogami, I think a linear level progression would work better than the MM level select for the stories mainline Gunvolts want to tell. Majogami felt way more like a VN hybrid than Gunvolt, and characters stuck around a satisfying length of time rather than hooking your interest and dying right afterward.

You think we'll get iX background lore in the new GVGX? It looks like there was a lot of stage banter between Copen, Gunvolt, Lumen, and Lola. Maybe we'll get answers like what cooled Copen down, what happened to Nori, or how the Eden situation played out in GV2's timeline.
Why would Inti drop the Switch 1 support now especially after they ported their games to basically everything a few years ago even Xbox. I'm sure the Switch 1 still has tons of players who'd buy a 2D platformer. I don't get why Inti would want to miss out on that potential cash. It's not like their games sell that great on PC anyway.

Replacing Kirin with Copen would mean that the no kill rule is off the table. GV and Copen would definitely be trying to kill their opponents. With ZED, it's easy enough to justify how he saves his followers, and ZED has Luxia to rescue him. The Morb situation is fucked though. Copen might end up being best friends with Gunvolt, but he's not going to hesitate to kill him and an adept baby if it means saving the world.
