Max damage fusil, go into Inferno solo without bots and walk down the hill. If there are more than 3 ranged nidders there you can corral them together by walking back and forth between the spawn area and where the first tarantula turret would spawn. Balanced fist is by far the best melee weapon for assault. Xenophase is probably the best for a pure wings of flame dash build. Power axe is a parry stick, its combo damage is the worst out of all the melee weapons.

If you're playing Assault the only Fencing melee you should use is the heroic Power Fist and Thunderhammer, the latter is so good there's no point using the regular one.

Everything in your main slot should be Block and/or Balanced for max damage.

For normal Relic Power Fist you can use either but you need to max out Cannon Punch (bottom row first then top row in the middle all the way to the end).

For chainsword use Block and for Relic power axe use Balanced since you need speed for combos. For power sword use Balanced, Fencing power sword are for gay traditional Bulwarks who still have Intimidating Aura and Shock AoE on.

the 100% damage sprint attack perk is not broken, it works on all weapons. it allows you to one shot minoris with first or hammer when you also use the +50% sprint attack weapon perk. its really good with axe too. It's not just the AI, they spawn more of them and they all shoot together in bunches in one direction all at the same time.

Saber forgot that the player is a Space Marine, not a Custodes or Grey Knight.

Some modifiers also glitch out and freeze the game, lost a wave 12 with decent folks this way. They also failed to remind the player that they can pick a positive modifier before every area and that they can reroll the main negative one once.

I've just played with an idiot host who traded random Spore Mines for Squad Unity on the first zone.

you're also guaranteed a free melta bomb every 30 seconds of just headshot magdumping
cloak deaggros enemies allowing you to revive a downed teammate
the best lineup is still a tactical with pyreblaster, vanguard and a shield rush bulwark with the 2sec invulnerability + instant revive banner

IMO the damaged armor is a little overboard in the extent of it. Basically this is unusable when piecemealed with other normal cleaner armor pieces, because it'll look weird in how everything is worn in while e.g. your leg is completely destroyed.

Space marine armor has multiple layers, and a lot of chapters will leave battle damage alone so long as it doesn't cause structural issues with the armor as a badge of honor.
Hell, back in 30k the Dark Angels would repaint the damaged part bone white to intentionally draw attention to it and mark it as a grievous wound that the marine was able to tank.

Hellldivers has so many schizoid mechanics it's not even funny, like weapons dealing more damage if you face a specific cardinal direction or jumping forward adding just enough velocity to your projectiles to hit specific breakpoints on enemies.

They basically made it so you needed 2000 damage to pop armor leg on a charger. Recoilless rifle had perfect 2000 damage, but their ballistics system made it so you instantly lose 1 damage as soon as the projectile leaves the weapon. So it only did 1999.
