When VII did the Gold Third arc, you could tell it was just something that was going to be fixed and the CPUs restored to their rightful positions, but this is much more ambiguous, it's very much being played like a natural Shift Period occurred and the main four sans Neptune lost their positions to the new goddesses and got demoted. And this concerns me greatly because I am not touching this franchise if they ditch Blanc. I already ditched another series from my childhood over something similar.Aside from those lore/setting concerns, yes, it's pretty obvious that they're going to front the game with the new characters and Blanc, Vert and Noire are likely going to be lategame party members like the Canddiates were in Victory. Perhaps not quite as extreme as there where they were literally only playable for one chapter, but I can definitely see Blanc not joining until two or three chapters before the end. Midgame at absolute earliest. The characters themselves, well, I know very little about them, so we'll just have to see in the game itself, but the way they are casting this shadow of uncertainty over the existence of the characters I love is not helping to color my perceptions positively. But given Ciel's idol shtick and the fact that I am not fond of idols plus the fact that she's N**re's protege, I will be surprised if I come out really liking her.
