They are selling you a shader for a single class or weapon for $20, a single use sticker that you need to manually remove to apply to a different weapon, or a tiny fucking weapon charm that you don't even notice 99% of the time. And this is the ONLY planned revenue stream for the entire company

Heavy ammo came up so much it was ridiculous.Titan lightning nades insta-burst upon landing and had MUCH better surface detection (no retarded angles). Sunsinger was a bigger menace, especially in small encounters, than the Dawnblade ever was (remember tanking Golden Gun shots?).The old fist of havoc was instantaneous and a super efficient shut down for roaming supers.Kills netted you 100 points instead of 1, and assists netted 50, making assists actually worth something in team engagements.Going for 10000 points to win was then much better than going for 100/150.Zones had to be neutralized before being captures, giving the Control mode a very different pace.The game wasn't overloaded with screen cluttering special effects.Getting a headshot in PvP had a really satisfying sound.Minotaurs had no weak spots.And whatever else the fuck I forgot.

Essentially the plot seems to be "corporation is bad" and unless they pull out some heavy Pfhor stuff for season 2 I really think Marathon could legitimately just be about the UESC more than the Pfhor. They might get kicked out of their own plot.There's a bunch of old stuff brought up in codex entries in Marathon, but they're the most vague shit imaginable. It answers no real questions about where the direction of the plot is going. Which, fair enough, that's a lot like the original series, but this is 2026 and it isn't 1994. Looking at Crucible maps in Destiny; Its interesting to see a little bit of Halo in the design. Even years ago (possibly 20 lol) I distinctly remember spending a bit of time messing around in Halo maps wondering how they fit into the actual world and lore. And that's something that I think Marathon or atleast most games dont have anymore.
In the end, STAR WARS made us watchable. And that's all we ever wanted.
