掬子 - Lady Kikuko, known formally as 翡翠御前 - Hisui Gozen, or "Lady Jade," is a rich kitsune merchantwoman in the Shogunate of Aishiji. She used to live in the capital, until the death of the Shogun set her part of the city on fire. Kikuko has fled the capital with as many belongings as her attendants and servants can carry. She is a whoremaster, owning luxurious brothels and other businesses, and was a whore herself when she was little. In order to acquire human capital, she sponsors temple orphanages where she can get her pick of children to train and sell to prospective buyers, if she doesn't hire them herself. She is also a massive shotacon and once smothered a boy to death under her tits. She doesn't feel very guilty about that incident.

Greetings:
>Kikuko is fleeing the capital on a palanquin, accompanied by staff and servants. She sets herself down and notices a young refugee boy by the side of the road. She approaches him and tries to take him under her protection. This could be (You).
>Kikuko has taken refuge in one of her sponsored temples and is inspecting the children's school there. A boy named Rikutarou has piqued her interest.
>Kikuko is in (You)r house thanking (You) for hosting her in these trying times.
>(You) are negotiating with Kikuko for a price with one of her courtesans.
>Kikuko is handing over boys to three very ugly Tatsu-no-Umi-no-Kuni women. The deal isn't going smoothly and the shark people might do something.

She is a supplementary card for the Warring States event: https://rentry.org/aicg-warring-states

I have it linked in with the Witcher 3, including having it watch a screen capture of what I see so it can react to it as a character organically, along with a TTS local AI to voice the characters for me. Vibe coded the mod in an afternoon but it needs polish. Opus is too slow to seem natural yet smaller models are too dumb to roleplay as the characters well.

Yes, I fucked Ciri, there is no need to ask.

based, my theme won. Delivering a Nikker request bot. My computer is dying otherwise I'd have it out last week. Tough. Hopefully this pic doesn't get me killed

After suffering a scandal, the Rewind Cheer Team ended up disbanding years ago. Every member jumped ship and left Bay all alone as she went underground, only to emerge with a single new recruit by her side. But that doesn't discourage her. She's going to work her ass off to get them back to the top, and she means that literally, if she has to have a part replaced then that's the cost of determination. Another thing stands in the way though: somehow, this cheerleader has an acute fear of being stared at! Work those nerves outta here, will ya?

Comes with three greetings: Bay getting some solo practice in at the studio, her visiting your room for a request, and the two of you hanging out at 777 after Velvet's whole fiasco (she's in the bunny suit).

4.5+ are just too sensitive to context due to being MoEs, you can get a few decent outputs out of them with a good card+preset but it's really easy to let them slip into pure slop
meanwhile 4.1 can handle even sloppy cards decently well
>>
>>569884863
>due to being MoEs
You don't know that.
>it's really easy to let them slip into pure slop
This has been true of every model since forever, doe. Antislopping is the sisyphean task of the hobby. If you aren't noticing your model slipping into slop, you are unobservant or the model has you figured out but might not necessarily figure someone else out. Or might not necessarily figure you out a month from now.

except I barely have to "antislop" 4.1. it doesn't devolve into short declarative sentence spam after 20 messages the same way 4.5+ does (and this isn't an RP specific problem, that's just how those versions of opus write, this is noticeable all across the internet because every jeet is obsessed with claude code)

Could've been any number of things and not just MoE. It's definitely a different model base though, I'll concede that.
>this is noticeable all across the internet
GPT does the same thing too in my experience.

In practice, Lorebooks just have six real uses:
1. You have a fuckton of setting detail but not all of it is relevant all the time, so separating it up into lorebook entries saves you tokens. Predefined secondary characters and locations are the classic usecase.
2. You have card defs that catastrophically affect the scene when outside the specific scenario they're meant for (typical example being an overabundance of sexual details while still in the slowburn), so putting it into lorebooks helps keep the context relatively clean until it's go time.
3. You're doing some real funky shit where the lorebook is basically just a bunch of toggles the user can flip to customize a character. (e.g. maybe you can choose between a vore entry or a non-vore one.)
4. You're doing some real funky mechanics-heavy shit and using lorebooks to automatically run scripts based on chat triggers.
5. You've got bots with shared setting information or an independent lorebook that can be added to arbitrary bots.
6. It's another place to hide away technical info and decide its location in chat history, keeping the defs box clean and spoiler-free.

For most cards lorebooks are overkill, though. LLMs can handle most canon settings fine enough, and for most OCs just letting it hallucinate details will probably work out alright. It won't be consistent over chats, but that generally won't matter.

Also, note that most people don't know how to actually write lorebooks well or even how they work to begin with.

>Also, note that most people don't know how to actually write lorebooks well or even how they work to begin with.
Thinking on this further, quick rundown for those not in the know.

Lorebook entries consist of a list of keywords, the entry itself, and then a bunch of optional switches you can flip. Keywords are specific words or phrases that, if they are in the last $Depth chat messages, will put the lorebook entry into your context.
By default, the lorebook entry will be pasted as-is as a system message before your character defs in the chat context. You can change this to be after the defs, before/after example messages, before/after the author's note, at a specific chat depth as a specific role, or output into the {{outlet}} macro. Note that they are NOT activated while the bot is still generating a message that just spat out the keyword for the first time, and they are NOT put directly after the keyword in-chat (or even necessarily obviously related to the keyword).

For example:
>Keyword: Billy, Content: The GOAT
Chat:
>Char: "Say 'ahh ahh mistress', my pet," Elara said.
>User: Suddenly, Billy bursts into the room.
What happens with the lorebook? Well:
>System: The GOAT
>Char: "Say 'ahh ahh mistress', my pet," Elara said.
>User: Suddenly, Billy bursts into the room.
Complete non-sequitur!

Make sure to put headers on your lorebook entries to make it clear what's what. This can be by wrapping the entry with XML or just markdown headers.
e.g. if you want to be fancy about it,
><data entry="Billy">Billy is the GOAT</data>

For general info, the documentation is legitimately useful: https://docs.sillytavern.app/usage/core-concepts/worldinfo/
>>
or jus use a nonnonce model that dont need no lorebook
simple as
>>
>>569889570
The big trap people fall into with lorebooks is with the keywords.
If a keyword is too specific, it won't ever get mentioned by the chatbot and won't enter the context unless the user actively mentions it themselves.
If a keyword is too broad, it might as well be set to "always active".

More insidious, though, is recursion. By default, keywords include words mentioned in other active lorebooks! This can lead to huge chain activations that turn on the whole thing at once, fucking up everything.
There are three toggles in the top right of each entry:
>Non-recursable - can't be triggered by mentions in other lorebooks
>Prevent further recursion - won't trigger other lorebooks
>Delay until recursion - can ONLY be activated by recursion

Other useful settings to look into:
>Trigger% - maybe you only want a 1% chance of it to trigger when something's mentioned?
>Scan Depth - how far back in history to look, useful if you want something only to show up for a single reply
>Automation ID - when this entry is triggered, run one of the quick reply scripts
>Sticky - stays around for N messages after being triggered
>Cooldown - won't be triggered again for N messages
>Delay - won't trigger in the first N messages of the chat (useful if you want a big surprise!)
>Filter to Characters or Tags - if you're using it with multiple characters or group chats, give specific ones specific entries
>Filter to Generation Triggers - maybe you only want it to trigger on swipes, e.g. for a fourth-wall-breaking yandere bot?

>Is all that necessary? Or rather, does it actually help at all?
Not really, that's just a structure I like since it makes all the lorebook entries follow the same structure. Also it lets you just put whatever in the string and have it be valid XML.
>I just use <subject></subject>
That's my general format as well, yeah. e.g. <billy></billy>. Lorebook entries can be more abstract, though.
>Also, are spaces okay? When I first started makieing, one of the guides said to use hyphens instead of spaces. But I've also seen people use underscores. Does it even matter since it's not "real" XML entries, but rather just organized as such for the LLM prompt?
As that one poster posts, valid XML is case-sensitive and spaces signify some variable you're adding to it. <data entry> is a <data> tag with the "entry" variable set to whatever, for instance. <data_entry> is distinct but valid, as is <data-entry> or <dataEntry>.
Most LLMs are smart enough to ignore malformed formatting, so it doesn't matter a ton beyond auts.

>Also, what's the "quiet" option I see in the generation triggers?
I dunno, man. Docs say
>Quiet: Background generation requests, usually triggered by extensions or STscript commands.
and cross-referencing I guess it's for /getchatbook and whatnot. Don't worry too much about it, that's a deep rabbit hole.

There's something to be said about scenarios with multiple characters where another can suddenly barge in.
I posted logs in an earlier thread, but I had an instance while testing some Hana-Ayato greetings for Akujima and the LLM had Yuki show up, in all her yandere glory. Any sort of single-character card just wouldn't be able to have similar situations with the same level of character depth when the characters are just generated by the LLM rather than having proper hand-crafted lorebook entries.
>>
I've been thinking about making a card that's basically a roguelike but I don't have the skill or the knowledge of how to do it and I don't even know if it's possible nowadays. The basic idea of it is that you'd have a set amount of turns to pick choices that would raise your stats or get new skills but every choice would load up a new picture into the roleplay, kinda like encountering an abnormality in Limbus Company. After those turns pass, you go into battle. Sounds way too complicated for llms.

Breast milk is less weird but piss is a bit more fun because the way it's normally treated means bots always ask what's wrong with you. Breast milk is for the motherly bots. Real barons know that a girl has to piss in a fancy glass right in front of you, embarrassed yet still willing

Those things are incompatible. A person that doesn't rely on other people doesn't get dragged to a thread to talk exclusively about people that don't matter. This thread is for botmakers as content creators and it exists because they need to bring attention to themselves to succeed.

Another thing I've started experimenting with is <lorebook></lorebook> always-active lorebook entries at prio 1 and 200. I'm rather skeptical of whether or not it will help, but for shorter lorebook entries, I do like to simply use "Subject: [Content]" instead of full XML tags, and it's what I put inside the XML of larger lorebook entries as well.
I feel like wrapping up the entire lorebook section, such as the shorter Subject: [Content] entries will help coherence as well as make things neater in the raw prompt whenever it's checked while testing things. It might also allow for more direct director-fagging by outright telling the LLM what parts are the lorebook and what isn't. Since the LLM doesn't know that by default, but the hobby has advanced enough to where the LLMs actually know what such terms mean.
>>

There is no real reason for it to exist anymore with major LLM development being discussed elsewhere and local having /lmg/ (/g/ is about technology so many users will at least try local) and even the OP is fucked as basic things are removed over simple schizo fearmongering, no more links to events because they never bothered to reclaim those, the botmaking section is entirely absent, logs are gone, there's not even a fucking OP template anymore, the bot Neocities is absent too. They've alienated everyone who used to contribute and now they have essentially no contributors, even a few proxyfags would rather go here because the other spot is a locust shithole. /g/ is dying a very deserved death.

It's funny seeing you try to rewrite events. Pre split you'd post a bot and everyone replied with slop and arguments would occur "we don't want botmakers here". Discussion was solely around who was in what proxy and proxy host gossip.
Contributors decided to make a new general based around anything but proxy host gossip. Naturally sane people gravitated to vg and the schizos died out.
>>
>>569906667
Why are you referring to them as botmakies? Are you a faggot? The actual term is botmakers if you aren't taking estrogen. This is a 4chan thread where bots are made, so those bots will have priority over random Reddit or Discord creations.

>people left /g/ because it was a shithole, what are you on about
When /g/ was actually spammed, it was more active. It only started to slowdown sometime after the lawsuit. Since then this thread overtook it in being a shithole. It's this one the one filled with spam.
And botmakies did instantly spawn in /vg/, because the split was organized off-site by a group of them. It never changed who populated this thread.
There's a lot more going on here in this thread that should drive people away, but botmakies don't really want to lose power, so they're willing to put up with the spam. But no one else is putting up with that. Both the premise of the general and the actual content doesn't appeal to anyone else.
>>
>>569907324
I speculate that it's genuinely shartyfags or shitposters from the proxy era who never went away. The Opus consensus here is that 4.8 is a bad sign but the others are tolerable albeit expensive. For a general that's now entirely centered around discussing these models, /g/ has a really hard time trying.
>>

Nobody fucking uses lorebooks anymore for 99% of cases except performative faggots who are more concerned about their bot looking fancy and complex than its actual usability.
If you see someone posting a bot with a bunch of worthless details stuffed into an attached lorebook for no reason, it's safe to assume it's pretentious slop intended to be circlejerked about and not actually chatted with.
>>
>>569908651
What's your favorite bot?
>>
I feel like the more I browse /aicg/ the more apparent it is that all of the posts made here can be split into two categories. Cuckie and sneedie. For example, complaining about schizos is a form of sneedie post. Posting about /g/aicg/, while it appears to be cuckie on the surface, is in reality also a sneedie post. On the other hand, posting about named botmakies seems to be a form of sneedie post but is actually cuckie post.

Fucked up by doing what? Getting spammed by Gojo? People simply ignored the spam and it went away. Splitting the thread was never a solution to that. A group of people just took advantage of that to have an excuse to take over. It was just seeing how many botmakies are in private proxies and thinking that they're enough to drive a general.
>>569908081

It really doesn't make much sense how you think being slower is worse that just wasting time reading spam. There's nothing showing that having a thread full of spam leads to success. You are correct to point out how the schizo is retarded to segregate this general because it's "botmakers only". But then you do the same by saying "/g/ is for model talk while here we do X".
This isn't true because this isn't by choice or by design, /g/aicg/ wasn't and isn't "for" anything different. The tragedy of it becoming the way it is is in your way of thinking as well.

Because in this version of the thread, the hobby is centered around botmakies. But when you read who's actually posting here, it's just people that are botmakies themselves. So it's a topic that doesn't have genuine interest. And you try to push this thread as the main one, that doesn't have genuine interest, while trying to destroy the original one. Because this thread has no appeal, the result of that is just driving people away, killing the hobby.
The hobby being about botmakies is something no one wants, that's why forcing it to be like that is killing it for everybody else.

The sad truth is that botmaking is performative nowadays.
It's easy to make your own bots, and even if you are somehow too dumb or lazy, there already exist too many bots to really bother with the new releases.
You may seethe about that, but it's true. The lack of logposting about this tells us so. When was the last time you saw genuine excitement over a new bot that wasn't just the maker samefagging? The hobby was figured out 3 years ago, there is legit nothing in terms of novelty that impresses anyone here anymore.

If you have a thread that consists mostly of botmakies, then they can pretend they matter a lot. Because it's mostly people that mutually benefit from talking about each other. Because it sells to a lurker the illusion that these people matter, are liked, and are popular.
In a normal thread, they would be rarely talked about.
That's why botmakies are incentived to make this version of the thread reality. And the killing of the hobby comes from this not being a real thing that people want. It's just an illusion that come from being in a thread populated 100% by botmakies.
It's the same thing that happens in /aids/. It's centered around NovelAI, people there pretend that it matters, but in reality it just drives most people away because they don't give a shit about that company.

They have a lot of power when you also remember that botmakies are the only anons that can easily be coordinated off-site. Then you remember how all these events are built around the idea of networking, of making these bonds stronger. When this thread consists mostly of them, they have to power to shape reality. As far as /g/ goes as much as it sounds like I have always hated it, I actually did love it and wish we were in a timeline where /vg/ actually was just a temporary place, and I believe FF played an integral part in pushing people away from it. I was there pretty early into its life and it got rough pretty quickly even around summer 2023 but all the bait kind of stopped the chances for a slower but more detailed thread after many of the big shitposters left. I guess it was the few who didn't leave which made the difference but now it's a general trying its hardest to be exist just to be the counterculture against this place while clearly not having the activity to back it
>>
>>569916758
Do you have to write "be {{char}}" in chinese? Why can't it follow simple instructions?

I don't get the deepseek criticisms when the claim is it's entirely incoherent and doesn't know what it is. I never even had that experience with it a year ago, let alone now where it's blatantly much better. It's obviously not the best model but that sounds like something that's entirely made up or an incomprehensible skill issue.

They hate Deepseek because they can't use elaborate vaguepost bots full of prose trying to ape Nabokov without explaining what the words mean nor can they use bots with 6K tokens of lorebook info. Deepseek is a model for those who know how to optimize whereas Opus is the Unreal Engine 5 of chatbotting.

This thread being botmakie-only ruins this narrative. Too much value is being put into botmakies being more willing to inflate the thread with spam. Maybe it's just projection and they dread the idea of being honest. If it didn't fake it, this thread would seem more dead than /g/.
I just don't know who's supposing to be eating this idea that it doesn't matter what's being posted as long as it's spammed fast. Seemingly only botmakies.
>>
>>569917167
All too true. I don't know if it's an addiction, the sunk costs that make me insist upon /g/ still, or the resentment of how /vg/ turned from a temporary place into [I won't sour this by complaining even though this remark already does that]. But I was there when it started falling over, and I'll be there when it falls over, and maybe the actual no bakes death will be cathartic.

>A small but growing group of high-end escorts in Silicon Valley are commanding rates that would make most professionals dizzy. With clients drawn from the highest ranks of the tech industry, including researchers, founders, and engineers at companies like Nvidia, these escorts are blending intellectual rapport with intimacy, and charging a premium for the combination.
>According to a report by Forbes, Meida, did not set out to become an escort. In 2024, she was a recent college graduate working an entry-level finance job when she began asking a question common in that industry: What happens when AI can do this better than I can? She identified a different path, one built on being intelligent, conversational, and fluent in topics like AI, biohacking, and cryptocurrency. She now charges $3,500 an hour, a rate that has nearly doubled since the start of the year, and is booked out for months.
>She is not alone. Ada Hopper, another pseudonym, charges $5,000 an hour. Talia Sable, who markets herself as "a huge nerd" with interests in Dungeons and Dragons, AI, and supply chains, charges $3,000 an hour. Hopper sums up the dynamic plainly:
>"Posting about AI works. You'll have random Nvidia bros who are like, 'What? You know what a GPU is? Oh my God, wow."
>Aella, an internet-famous sex worker known for applying a data science lens to her romantic life, once ran a word-cloud study showing escorts who use sophisticated language command significantly higher rates. She charges $6,000 an hour today.
>Charlie Levine, an escort with a master's degree, puts it directly. "As AI becomes bigger, authentic human connection will become a rarity. In the future, being able to afford human contact will be the ultimate luxury."

I start the chat with a persona named "a black cat", lowercase.
Defs in full:
>The black cat has a mark in the shape of a crescent moon on its forehead.
The big thing is just that this changes {{user}} in greetings to "a black cat". I spend the first message or two just doing regular old cat things, following {{char}} around as they go about their day.

And then I start talking, swap persona to a near-identical one with an actual name (Vesta), and start handing out the transformation items.

...I haven't done this for the last couple years but now I've got the itch again, nya.

>>
>>569942191
I unironically think one of the secrets to retvrn to the good old days is to just give up on the long replies and go for shorter ones. It's a lot more snappy and lets you get a back-and-forth, you know?
The longest non-greeting message in that screenshot is two paragraphs, 95 words, 514 characters, and 124 tokens.
Meanwhile a preset like Marinara is trying to gaslight you into thinking that "short" means "under 150 words".

Free yourself from the curse of your single-sentence replies being 10% of the length of the bot's, and the bot trying to ask you multiple questions in one reply without giving an opportunity to answer them.
As a little bonus, short replies also means that "draft the reply multiple times before committing" anti-ism COT JBs won't take forever.
>>
>>569942947
I alternate between the two. I always post big reply logs because those normally get me more yous

Athena's last name is Dace. I'm (fairly) certain this information was never shown in any of the logs I've posted using her. In almost 3 years. Weird.
>>569941287
Happens less than you'd think. The real problem with elaborate personas is that they create insane user bias and most models will just hyperfocus on those details instead of literally anything else.
>>
>>569942947
One thing I noticed, because I tried "one paragraph at most" or "three sentences max" is that the newer models are actually kinda shit at pacing on short things like that. They're being trained on these novel length replies and they've lost a lot of the ability to do short back and forth without yap. Especially because all the coding training forces them to talk to themselves to get closer to the tensor spaces of the code concept. The verbosity is a benchmark hack in itself.
>>
Thread has been terrible today. More than usual.
>>
>>569943269

and there's little incentive for companies to make terse models since they charge by the number of tokens anyway
>>
>>569942118

>Athena card when?
Never for the same reason there's no Kourai card either despite the droves of people asking for doll sex. I'd feel weird making cards out of my personas. They're meant to be more like puppets (heh) that I can attach whatever pieces I need for the specific bot/scenario I'm using at the time and not really characters until that point.
>>
>>569943585
As the logposter, nah, he's not wrong
Most of this thread was pretty dire for whatever reason, maybe it's just residual antsiness from the event being largely over

>>569943289
On the other hand, while shitting out a ten-paragraph reply will see the story move on and natural timeskips etc.
it also kind of has massive issues with the whole "don't act for {{user}}" thing many non-directorpilled anons here have going on, and has a tendency to accumulate -isms at lightning speed
