The reason why Krack doesn't want Shadow to move past Maria is based solely on her desire to keep a fictional character miserable and depressed forever without her (Maria is her self insert) so that she can feel that important and meaningful.This is a very common trope within woman focused media. It's pathetic but also funny how common it is.
