I really wish new players would realize that you can't win in this mode by just running away until the game gives you pity ninjutsu. You do actually have to fight some. Also, the Motor build I came up with last season is still the best I've found>(SP) Stealing Hyena 123, Giant Killer 1, Energy Hoarder 123, Ninjutsu Stock, Berserker 13Hyena and Hoarder are perfect since you can move around with NA a lot and it benefits from speed boosts. Speed boosts also make NA, WA, and Break more threatening as attacks and make Bumpy's midair jump go way further. Hyena gum damage makes Shot's sweetspot easier to land when you've bursted people down with Bumpy and are in a weird position where precise aim is difficult. Giant Killer works well with the unburstable damage from Bumpy and BA while providing some healing on the move that you can use alongside Hoarder to recover while riding. Stock lets you keep Horse as a panic button since that's what it's best as and Berserker provides a reward for any awkward Bumpy kills that lead to KOs rather than IPPONs. Also lets you charge ninjutsu on drones with dodges and extra NAs.Tried Starting Dash too since all the assist codes are a good fit, but you lose out on way too much mobility with that and other people using cheat drugs make defense boosts less useful. Besides that, I can't tell when the speed boost ends with it and that makes spacing Shot difficult if there are multiple speed boosts active and your attacks go flying further than they should. You can in fact have too many speed boosts on this weapon, so the more controllable ones work best. I also wasn't a huge fan of being on that 30 second time limit to make use of the buffs every respawn. Too stressful.More important than any of that is the tech I found to combo into Bumpy after a gumbind though. Motor barely works without that and even with it there are still some gaps occasionally.

Arakawa might have even been the only one, considering Ninjala's similarities to Dissidia. So basically the people working on it probably didn't have any idea what they were doing for over half the game's lifespan and the people we knew to have action game experience on the team don't seem to be working on it anymore.They tried to keep it updated and within the public consciousness with the anime and manga and such, but the game clearly failed so now we're getting less and less each season as they continue to tread water until either a sequel or EoS. Wouldn't make much sense to design a whole new weapon right before EoS, especially since the anime seems to be continuing for the foreseeable future, so I'm hoping that all this is for a sequel that unfucks everything using the content they've been building up these past four years.

Surprisingly, Life Drain with both defense codes but no drain code plus Giant Killer 1 seems to be working pretty well. You don't get to full HP as fast, but you do stay alive thanks to defense boosts constantly being applied. Might only work on Pop Eye Types though since the NA healing stacks with Life Drain (and Iron Bind) up to a certain cap now so it has a bit more healing than other weapons would.

It's a pretty miserable experience and a lot of weapons can barely do anything in it. You need a specialized build just to be able to play it effectively too due to the lack of drones and reliance on s-energy orbs for movement. Can't even bring Wall Shooter because the walls on the side can't be stood on outside of the goal area. There are many problems with that mode and victory/defeat being determined entirely by the competence of your teammates probably doesn't sound fun to a lot of people. In regular TB you can at least drone if you want to carry instead of have fun.Also the game's just dead in general. They haven't fixed anything besides Gum Laser in ages and things are still extremely P2W besides that.
Trying to play Team Battle was a mistake. By extension, trying to play Ninjala was a mistake because that's basically the only mode left at this point.

It is in fact 5 seconds, which means the devs expect you to lead with Bumpy Accelerator somehow. That makes it more worthwhile to go for an attack after using Bumpy even if it's burstable, as that will almost certainly get the opponent into Hyena range if you hit them with a Turbo or two beforehand which means easy Gum Shots.>>1480337Dang, that means I actually have to play and playing means Team Battle. Meanwhile for a less tanky weapon that can't just keep putting out big damage like that, such as Motor, you'd probably want Turnabout Guard instead. Motor build is currently>Stealing Hyena 123, Giant Killer 13, Energy Hoarder 123, Turnabout Guard 123and it seems pretty good at staying alive with just that.

>>1504739No, the combat and movement is more freeform than that since it's a free-for-all where you can stick to walls and going for sneak attacks and stuff. Customizable passive skills rather than customizable active ones, but the passives can massively change how you play. There are definitely similarities though, like how gumbinds are basically stamina breaks and let you do whatever combo you want before they wear off. However, it's a touch-of-death game so the combat is more about getting that first clean hit while still having resources to gumbind. You get lots of kills with faster, simpler combos, but knowing what combo to use when is important too so it's satisfying in its own way. I'm surprised someone else noticed the similarities

For the Special choice, it's just a matter of it being the only hammer that's actually good with Super Strength Strike in my opinion. Power Buster is fine too, but I'd like to actually use the hammer throw for once. I see a lot of people use it on GR8, but it doesn't really get any unique combos with that so I can I only assume it's for unga bunga high priority projectile annoyances. I'd rather just use small/medium Launcher -> WA -> Power Buster -> WA -> Launcher myself.With Sush on the other hand, you can gumbind combo with it so long as you're mindful of what size gum shoot you use to do so. Medium is useful way more often than on other Grenade weapons because it means you don't have to take Iron Bind if you combo medium Grenade into AltSP with proper spacing. On the other hand, large Grenade -> AltSP is good for when they're guarding. Even small Grenade -> AltSP can bind, although I forget whether that was with Hyena or not.I would not usually take Hyena on a Grenade weapon, but considering how easily you can get people to half HP and the fact that a double-tap medium Grenade tends to combo after far-away launching moves like SSS better than large Grenade I'd say the 1-shot bind w/ small gap it gives medium Grenade is worth it. The speed boost is nice for following up AltSP with WA too. Giant Killer is self-explanatory for SK8 Types.The rest is for tankiness, which you need because you can't power through with armor until you manage to secure an IPPON. In fact, you have pretty much no defense besides gum guard, Grenade, and WA so in order to survive anything this level of healing and defense is necessary. GGM 3 would have been nice too, if I could have fit it. Taking SSS instead of PB makes you a sitting duck, so you've gotta be willing to trade hits to get your IPPON train going sometimes.
