Is hoenn the worst region to live in? Fallarbor town, Sootopolis, Pacidflog, Fortree, etc.All towns that seem extremely harsh to live in, why wouldn't anyone move to Johto? Seems nicer there

Rustboro, Petalburg and Lilycove would be especially nice imo, and the Slateport-Mauville corridor wouldn't be bad either. but even for the more remote cities, like I said there's people who like that kind of lifestyle. and I think Pokemon would ease the challenges quite a bit. you could easily travel to other cities using a flying or surfing Pokemon for example, so it's not as isolated as you might think. it would just be a quiet, slower lifestyle.

Want a region with no natural resources or existing industry? Want a region so barren and desolate that most Pokemon literally cannot survive in it? Want a region with crime so rampant its more present than any kind of government or civil authority? Then you want Orre.

If you aren't of that culture or looking to be/stay immersed in it, then you wouldn't go there. Kanto would be for the big city life, widely available resources even imported goods, lots of people, always stuff to do, lots of opportunities. Likely very busy, crowded, expensive, also crime rampant (I'm thinking the league, and whatever form of government there is if not them, is corrupt for sure)Sinnoh seems similar to Johto but cold, and just like anywhere living in say Jubilife or Goldenrod would be like living in any massive city and doesn't reflect the region as a whole. Also everywhere in Pokemon is a utopia and has on par tech somehow except Orre.Unova... imagining an idealized, utopian version of America with free healthcare... I'd still move to Hoenn.
