I have a photography hobby, and I love seeing people with their photos, too.
TCG Cards, Plushies, Figurines, comfy in-game screenshots, Pokemon Go photos, anything goes as long as it's pokemon related and someway related to the concept of photography.

In about 18 hours, I'm off to Japan. This thread probably won't stay alive because I won't be here to bump it, since I heavily doubt my brother would want me on 4chan in his house, but I figured it was worth a shot to do this one more time.
thanks for everything, y'all. even if this site is full of complete dunderheads who try to downplay and hate on everything, I'm happy that I was able to find the positive notes on it.
sure this is blogposting, but I doubt the ban is gonna affect me.

>>

Will there be any time for your photography hobby while in Japan?
>>
>>56488450
Nemonanon here, hope you have a fantastic time in Japan!

From the sounds of it, it seems like you’re leaving for good. If that’s the case, I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavours. I bet you can find some fantastic photo ops in Japan! It’s very beautiful, I know from experience.

>>56489414
honestly anon the plan was to see if anyone would post any photos through the archive

>>56489768
I'd assume so! I'm taking tonnes of photos either way, so..

>>56489800
nah, not for good, just for under 2 weeks (come back on the 9th)

While I hope to see (and, weather permitting, take/post some myself) more photos, the creative and more niche nature of these threads make them hard to regularly maintain without it turning into a continuous dump of the same images over and over. /vp/ is a slow board but not THAT slow, we might be better off with a monthly thread rather than trying to keep a thread up at all times.

Not exactly nature/irl, but my wall matches the pot of the glass bonsai tree I inherited from my grandma enough to use it as a miniature backdrop.

Once a photographer anon took this for me in a comfy thread when he found this Doduo figurine after telling him it was my favorite Pokemon. I still like to look at it.

Looks pretty convincing to me! Nice! How long did your grandma have the glass bonsai tree? Is it something that's been passed down in the family over the years?

>>
>>56496271
Thanks! I honestly don't know, it along with many other nicknacks were in her condo as far back as I can remember when we'd visit when I was a child. It's definitely at least 30 years old, doubt it was anything important considering it wasn't left to anyone in particular in her will. I ended up with a bunch of random stuff like that since my sister and I were the youngest of 7 grandkids, my mom and her 2 sisters split most of the big stuff.

Ah, gotcha. It's nice though that much, if not all, of your grandma's possessions went to members of the family. Along with memories, it's another way to remember her and feel her presence. :)

Thank y'all so much for this, I was able to get onto the site cause there's no real wifi restrictions luckily. Holy shit.

Yeah, I only made this to see if it'd stay up for a week. I'm really happy it did.

Haven't been able to get many photos of the figurines, but I've gotten a tonne of these grookey plushie photos

Do you see a lot of Pokemon merch and ads in the part of Japan you're in? Is it still a pretty big thing over there?

>>
>>56511046
It's like it never left, anon. It's still fucken HUGE over here. The damn airport I landed in at had a wall with a pokemon hologram, there's tonnes of little things I've seen about it, too.
>>
>>56512539
I’d love to go back there. My trip there was 5 years ago, and I’d love to have a second go around. I didn’t get much Pokémon merch while I was there (I got a master ball and a beast ball, as well as a figurine of Porygon). I got quite a few amiibo while I was there, though (Marina, my beloved).
>>
>>56512539
So Pokemon is still very much part of mainstream pop culture there. That's really neat. Though maybe more so for tourists rather than people that see it every day, lol.

Something similar was talked about on the first thread, the guy taking the mountain photos lost some of his figures through it.

Especially since the higher the elevation, the stronger those gusts of wind can get.
