Did he ever find it?

Journeys was a mistake.

Ash is a representation of the fanbase, they got dumber as well. Remember even as early as Johto we couldn't have stuff as intricate as rock tunnel because japanese kids were dumbasses and somehow got lost.

How did they ever do Seafoam?!

Fuck

reminder that pretty much every person on the planet (ashfags aren't people) wanted this shithead gone at least by the end of gen 2, and it was one single motherfucker hardliner that dictated that they stay.

In a world where Rotom and Porygon exists, I do not find looking on the floor for data to be so dumb.

Keep telling yourself that, I'm sure it will boost your flop

Blame Pokemania, unironically. They banked on using Ash as the human face of Pokemon to market it overseas, and it worked way too well.
So now they were at this ultimatum of "replace Ash to keep things fresh in Jaapn, but risk completely killing the US audience", or "keep Ash to keep Pokemon alive in the US, at the cost of stagnation in Japan".
>>
>>56899284
>in the US
Pokémon is global tho, like almost every country had its own dub iirc just like with the new anime.

They probably dropped the China pandering tho since they hate "people" like Roy or just isn't in promotional material like they did to black panther and Star Wars

Way too early

This is true, but America took to Pokemon the strongest when Nintendo began localizing, very quickly becoming the second biggest market to capitalize on.
And we know for a fact that the anime was very interested in keeping that American market, because they pre-emptively shitcanned Brock for the Orange Islands out of fear that Americans would begin recognizing him as a bunch of racist stereotypes rolled up into one character. So they wanted him gone before that could happen when they were already dealing with the heat from Jynx racism allegations, and even Electric Soldier Porygon reaching western headlines because of how massive of a blunder it was.

I was bored of that tool the second I saw the Legend of Thunder/ Pokemon Chronicles and saw a protagonist who was actual competent instead of being a idiot who leans on luck and pity.
though I could have been happy if Chronicles or whatever been a sister series running alongside Ash's Johto journey since its consistent with GSC being a sequel and all, but Ash absolutely should have been axed by Gen 3.

Nah. His character was finished after he beat Gary

Nobody went through Seafoam other than to catch Articuno and leave with Escape Rope. The obvious move is to Fly to Pallet and skip it.

Pokémon in space fucking when, we know its a fucked up place

Anybody who believes that Brock & Jynx were nigger-coded at any point in Pokémon's history doesn't deserve to be considered as a human being.

true, but I still think he had enough decent moments in Johto and Sinnoh that Ash could justify existing until Gen 5

>XY is the most appraised pokemon season and it's universally liked by everyone who watched it
Only after the sharp decline in quality post-Shudo leaving. That was what really killed the anime, Yuyama just mummified it until his retardation dealt the final death blow at the end of XY

Let's be honest here, early pokemon games were absurdly ugly and lazy with their field graphics, makes navigating dungeons a lot harder when there is literally nothing distinct about them.

>The translator began to explain that the Japanese crew felt that Brock might be viewed as racist by the American people because of his eyes, and that they were even fearful of it when Pokemon first came to America. I asked if anyone ever complained, and he said no, but it was just that they were worried someone might eventually. So, they brought in a tall, white, Anglo-looking character to replace him, just to be on the safe side.
