this game had a chance at an interesting plot from the summary but I feel like it threw it away almost immediately. the friend that betrayed you and stole your family's ring just seems like an asshole, there's no moment where it seems like he's even a little bit regretful. not even sure what the family ring does, it can't be the mid battle cheating powers cause everyone can fucking do that, and it's not mega evolution because he didn't do that. also, for being an actual 2nd class citizen that escaped the mining town no cops were chasing you at any point until the plot happened at mt urn, despite this being an authoritarian government that would totally do that. frustrating game, I get that you can't reveal everything within the first 8 chapters, but there really wasn't anything to hook on to. also the gameplay was some genuine demice torture past the 2nd town. maybe if the game fully releases I would do one final runthrough but otherwise don't even bother touching it
