This looks like a meme but it’s been savaging people, it’s dual energy but I’ve only lost to the rng once (had rk9 ready to kill a Mewtwo and it popped water). The deck is extremely fat so you can usually stall for the dual energies you need, there are also many wincons so if you have Arcanine in your hand but see double water than you can just hook up Gren/Mew and adjust your play accordingly. Not sure how it stacks up to the other versions (no dog or gyara as dps) but Arcanine can set up quickly to the extent where I can keep multiple hitters in the back if the game is slow enough, not to mention Drudd (!) can attack I seldom use but it prevents my opp from stalling too hard if we both brick. Gren/Water itself is probably the worst matchup ironically if they get theirs out before you do but it’s not unwinnable by any means, I’d say it’s similar to M2 mirror where they find Garde first; you just have to play around it.

It’s something I wasn’t sure would work but it ended up working very well. It does raise the ceiling of the deck for sure though so I did want a 2nd Arcanine at least, ie if I do find Growlithe then generally I’m going to try and use it as a finisher.

Have I been having bad luck, or does Celebi just seem to fuck over off-meta decks extremely hard? A lot of my decks that were obviously worse than the best decks, but still good enough to use against randoms seem to just get abysmal winrates vs Celebi.I think it's that it's much more Midrange than a purely aggressive deck like Pikachu or a really late-game focused deck like Mewtwo or Charizard. It's a lot harder to find opportunities to exploit them if you aren't straight overpowering them.

ok, i finally made an alakazam deck that can sorta win. Sigilyph is a trap, dont use it guys. Same issue as meowth, card advantage is nice but your opponent loves the low damage it does, it lets them set up broken shit in the back. Farfetched replaced it and its working for me

I want to thank water buffalo for getting me to 25 wins. You don't always win but you win enough. I wish I had another brew for the next 25 but I don't, so I'll likely grind it out with the same deck. It could probably win more but the deck is smarter than me and I can't plan my switches properly.
