One thing I couldn't stand about the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Gen games is how much they relied on these dynamic-fixed camera angles, because it made the world feel more curated and fake. Games before this generation just had the fixed top-down view which I prefer and games after are actually proper 3D. Anyone else know what I mean?
Yes and I sorta agree although it's cute seeing these kinds of shots in low-poly 3D. Gen 7 did it fine I think, by then the graphics were advanced enough and not chibi anymore for the vistas to actually look impressive.
