Glad we got a big meta shaking patch like this after fucking 2 months of Suicune. Have a lot of creative brews in mind and even though it's just 1 day, we aren't seeing a blatantly tier omega deck like Suicune obviously was right from the get-go. Lots of people trying the new megas, lots of old cards got indirect buffs from new tools and trailers, and overall there's variety in the matches I'm playing. I assumed it'd just be everyone running mega chicken but thankfully that isn't the case. Hoping the meta becomes as healthy as it was pre-suicune. Darktina was still a bitch then but there was actually a lot of variety in ranked during that period and its strength was being challenged appropriately. Will be a damn shame if someone ends up finding some broken ass strat and we get 2 months of boredom a gain. Begging and hoping Altaria isn't the next ultraOP because I love the fella and don't want to see it relegated to cancer. Having fun with the Dusk x Altaria deck even though I don't have the new trainers for it yet.

It doesn't just give you the grace seap for the card you'd actually need at the bottom of your deck. It does at least still work with only one pokemon in your hand, but at that point you're just getting an actual pokecomms out of a trainer card with just a sliver of more autonomy over your search roulette.

hot take but i think May is the best new card this set. It's poke comm but more than twice as good, this shit is a god send. It's consistency for practically EVERY deck in this game, i think silvally is finally btfo. Speed of the game increased, and so did health pools. And now that decks have may, the gladion support card isn't as unique anymore.
