Xerneas can't do anything to threaten G-Slowbro, either you force them to swap because you're breathing down their neck or they think they can make a trade because they don't know what's coming. Or you might just be able to completely blind side them in one hit.The life orb might not even be necessary but it's useful for securing kills with your coverage moves. Regardless, he's basically a Xerneas hard counter even if you do need to play a little more passively and pick your shots.
How does geomancy even play in this game?

I want to try Trevanant with Curse of the forest and poison jab. It probably sucks but giving xerneas a 4x weakness to poison just sounds fun.
