Chestnaught was the first starter I thought was complete shit. Didn’t love Alola starters but was okay with decidueye, although dartrix, whose name I just had to look up, is ugly. Gen 8 starters are an abomination with cinderace and intelleon being the rock bottom of the franchise. Personally I think skeledirge looks retarded and quaquaval doesn’t feel like an Pokémon. actually love the gen 10 ones so far but I’m sure GF will fuck up the 3rd evos.

It started with Tepig's evolutions suddenly standing up on two legs, Samurott looking absolutely nothing like Oshawott and Dewott, and Snivy losing its legs. And then after that it was truly over with the humanoid starter trend.
