Do you like Shenmue? It's like if Shenmue was an actual game instead of just an impressive tech demo.

I have the Lucky Luke game for SNES. It's a mixed bag imo, art ist absolutely gorgeous, controls aren't very tight but ok for the most part except when you have to really calculate a jump. Level design is ok, I like the varied type of levels where some are just getting to the goal while others require you finding some items, plus the various special levels like the tornado, the raft, the train and so on. Difficulty is reasonably balanced.

Genuinely underrated game which gets looked past too much.

>player has to do a very quick reload every sixth shot
>but enemies actually have to reload every sixth shot too, they're not as fast as you
>therefore counting shots factors into your gunfighting strats
Incredibly ahead of its time, most First Person Shooters would not start getting on reloads for enemies until the late 90s. I need to sit down and actually play through this one to completion some day.

PANG PANG

The first one is better.
>>
>>10687107
reload seems too fast to have much of a point
>>
>>10689581
For the player, it's barely any pause, it goes in the blink of an eye, but for enemies they actually get a noticeable gap between every sixth shot.

There's reloading to facilitate switching between the two ammo types, regular lead bullets, and then bullets made out of silver which do more damage. It's Lone Ranger after all, can't have a videogame about Lone Ranger and not have silver bullets.

I remember reading an article somewhere about actually casting silver bullets. Apparently it's a complete bitch to do because silver really likes to make voids during casting unless you use special additives, so the bullets virtually always come out very unbalanced and you'll get them veering off all kinds of ways.
You also can't use regular lead bullet molds because the silver shrinks a good bit when cooling, the bullets become too small for the caliber. You also can't do it on a campfire like you can with lead, it's not hot enough.

So Lone Ranger must have built some special smithy with a forge/smelter somewhere with custom molds, where he worked out how to make working silver bullets which shoot straight. He probably thought it would be easy until he tried it, and then put a lot of effort into figuring it out.
I admire that autistic dedication to a gimmick.

How's the new version of Wild Guns? I'm way in love with the SNES game, I wonder if Reloaded is worth my time.
>>
>>10702737
It's great.

Having played both versions to death, they have different balancing. In the original the FOV is smaller, there are less enemies, but enemies react faster. In the remake, the FOV is bigger, there are more enemies, but their reaction time is slower; so it's quite a different experience.
Remake also has 2 new levels with new enemies and bosses, but sadly they're locked behind specific difficulty settings (I would rather have had a multi path system); they also got rid of the bonus stages (not a big loss) and the 2 new characters have a completely different way of playing
