>Yume Kojo: Doki Doki Panic started development as a Super Mario Bros. game, making DDP a reskin of a game that was going to be Mario.
>Super Mario: Yoshi's Island, in Japan, was originally going to be called SMB5: Yoshi's Island, making it a sequel to SMB4 (SMW), effectively being SMW2
Any other instances of DID YOU KNOW trivia going full circle?
>>
Wouldn't Super Mario USA be Super Mario Bros 5 in Japan?

Damn dude that's crazy. Did you know that SMB2 in Japan was actually originally called 'doki Doki Panic' in Japan?

If it's only for Nintendo why does it run on my Microsoft? How did Nintendo get away with that?

That's the point.
People always go "omg the smw2 title was only in the west, in Japan it's just super mario: Yoshi's island", but then, YI in japan was going to have the smb5 subtitle.
Same with DDP, people go saying "omg did you know SMB2 was not originally a Mario game!" And yes DDP started development as a Mario game in Japan.
The theme of this thread is instances where trivia goes full circle and people who like to go around tolding everyone get told in the end.
