They told me that the Orange Box was the "best deal in the history of gaming".
They were wrong!

Honorable mention for me: all those arcade compilations from the 00's. I got my first G-Darius 1CC on this thing. Also recall some Namco PSP collection that I must have put 100+ hours into, despite being familiar with like 3 of the games beforehand

Jak 3 has much improved level design and vehicle handling over Jak 2.

I don’t remember this coming out. Was this a Europe only thing?

>3 dumb Sony furry games vs. Complete Half Life 2 saga, fun online cartoon fps and solid bonus puzzle game

The only good game in the Orange Box is HL2.

Best deal in the thread. Wish they included UT2003 though.

Original Half Life was the GOAT for me. Between TFC and CS I spent years on end playing that.

I personally blame Midway Arcade Treasures 2 for starting my retro game addiction

A.P.B. is underrated as fuck and I wish it got more attention. NARC and Pitfigher are dumb fun. Fucking love me some Wizard Of Wor

The PS2 furry games were actually good unlike Sonic and Star Fox.
>>

In the early days of pc cd rom if you look at old catalogs you see a bunch of stuff like 6 games for the price of 1 type box sets. I got one of these 1 christmas, sure they were probably old games they couldn't sell and some of the games were b tier but coming from console this was amazing, for example one of the games was Empire Soccer. From what I've seen these collections seem to have only lasted about from 1994 to 1997 or so. I still have all the cd's.

I was so devestated to not hear Yuri's voice in addition to being subjected to the soulless proto-7th gen art direction that I put the game down within 20 minutes

one of the biggest disappointments of my entire gaming career
>>
>>11398594
none of those games are better than sonic adventure 2 battle

Nice choice, the ps2 namco collection is pretty great.
>>11398393
Vol 1+2 are great. I love some smash tv.
>>
>>11399785
I like both Smash TV and Total Carnage. Total Carnage ups the insanity and difficulty but I wish the final boss "where's waldo?" hunt wasn't so punishing

not exactly retro, but I picked this up for $20. I had been holding out and wanted to play them all, but not for full price, so I got a ton of value out of it.
