Why the fuck did they stop putting labels on the top of carts?
Yes, you can skip the game over screen by simply pressing the start button.
>>11414040Super Famicom didn't have them eitherHuh. Guess the North American SNES isn't that bad after all
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!
>>11414048Famicom didn'tGame Boy didn'tSuper Famicom didn'tVirtual Boy didn't Nintendo 64 didn'tGame Boy Advance didn'tNintnedo DS didn'tSwitch didn't
top labels are cringe, because they never follow any rhyme or reason
So the Big Marker® could sell Marker™ products
>>11414040Technically they never started. The Famicom (except for some third party games like Konami titles) and Super Famicom didn't have top labels, that was just something Nintendo of America did when they redesigned their stuff. The N64 was the same in all markets so they didn't add top labels. Not that they were even necessary. Nowadays everyone puts their games on a shelf so a top label is something you might want, but back I'm the day most people kept their carts stacked in a pile near the TV. Games were expensive, so it's not like kids had a ton of them anyway. You could also just use a label maker if you really want something.
>>11414040Those were an invention by the US HQ for the NES and Super NES.
>>11414040You were supposed to just keep the games in their boxes when not playing them. The boxes all had side labels.
>>11414040Side labels are fucking bullshit. Makes finding the game you want to play WAY too easy. Convent design choices piss me the fuck off. I want finding the game I'm looking for to be as difficult as possible.
>>11414786Calm down Andy Rooney
It would prevent people from being able to open the games. You can see how they work, they are two plastic shell pieces put together at the middle. Plus you're supposed to keep the cardboard box for storage.
>>11414315Why count handhelds? They'd be too small to read anyway
>>11414040Probably manufacturing costsAssuming the sticker is applied by a fully automated machine, it's way cheaper and easier to slap it on a single side than to apply one that has to bend over the edge
>>11414857just like your benis is too small to see so why even keep it kek
>>11414786>I want finding the game I'm looking for to be as difficult as possible. And here are slavchads winning again. Pic related is how most of us had our Dendy carts usually. The only problem is that eventually, you'll start recognizing those blobs from memory.
>>11414040Shut the fuck up retard
>>11414040Shut the fuck up faggot
>>11414949>>11415113Why are you mad?
>>11414040Because....
>>11414040There’s maybe 5 games on the N64 worth owning anyway it won’t take long to find what you’re looking for.
>>11414040Shut the fuck up king
>>11414315>Famicom didn'tSome did
>>11414040It's kinda annoying these days when you have a bunch of carts. I got sticker labels like pic related and they work pretty well for differentiating each game.
>>11415662That prevents you from being able to open the game though if you ever wish to verify that a game is real. Some of these motherfucking games are expensive as shit, it's advisable to open up expensive games and verify they are real. I doubt a lot of retro game stores and flea market sellers care if a game is real or not. You don't want to pay a bunch of money for a knockoff.
>>11414040Shut the fuck up bitch
>>11415902>>11415118
>>11415662Why the fuck did World Is Not Enough a blue cart anyway...
