When i had a PS2 i saw Hyper and thought i'd pick it up for nostalgia reasons and it was ok. As i said that list is literally all the fighting games i've played. I never really picked them up again

People always seemed put off by how they were actually hard compared to stuff like the current SF2 version. I was always glad to see how SNK fighting games took off so hard in latin america, always a nice poverty union feeling when the more poor countries and the poor people in richer countries gravitated to the same shit and put in the work to get good. Before the internet really took off they were like different communities that barely even knew about each other.Only fighting games I can really call overrated are SF5 (its better than it was, but even latestage it was still shit) and maybe Strive. Xrd was decent, but the X2 full era was the pinnacle. Even the music in Strive feels like garbage compared to stuff like Awe of She or No Mercy (or that crazy ass korean ky theme that got used in every combo video ever.)
