The great debate.
>>12154805Rush for the musicCruisin' for the gameplay and cars
For me it is Race drivin'
>>12154805WHATS YOUR NAME?
>>12154805Rush for sureCruis'n is fun too though
Rush all the way
>>12154805https://youtu.be/tJWjq76qEIQRush tho
>>12154805Rush is way more dynamic. Cruisin feels like slot car racing.
>>12154805Rush is garbage. Cruisn is at least OK
>>12154978Well I mean Rush The Rock which is probably a different game Alcatraz edition
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZtAYiio4eA
rush 2 and whatever franchise had the 2049 game

Rush sucks dick
Rush, Cruisn' (especially USA) is basically a joke and would have been forgotten if not for booba and the odd porno song
>>12155751This. It's a mockery that Nintendo put their name on Cruisin cabinets because it doesn't represent their gameplay first philosophy.
>>12154876NOTHIN NASTY NOW
they're both pretty bad
I choose to not play western-made garbage
>>12156360Laugh at this weeb
What's the debate? They both suck dick and NFS on Playstation made them look like tricycles

I like the ooohhhhh song
>>12156695one of the coolest looking games i've ever playedtoo bad i suck at it. i wanna try it with a controller instead of keyboard
>>12156695My favorite racing game ever
>>12156360Okay nerd
>>12158892You absolutely should use a controller. I use an x360 wired usb pad and it feels the best. The best thing to do in Single Player mode is find all the hidden stunt areas around the maps. My favorite is the hidden stunt area in track 2. Just before the finish line go left into the tunnel, then loop upside down inside. On the wall is a small hole / door to the room. Has tons of fun accelerator pads to play with.
>>12154805I like Rush's graphics better, but I recall the music randomly cutting out when I played it. But I also played Rush on an N64 emulator back in the late 00's when N64 emulation sucked if you were playing anything that wasn't Super Mario 64, as opposed to playing Cruisin' USA on its original hardware. But I was also a retarded kindergartner when I played Cruisin', so I guess I should revisit both games before posting about this topic again.
>>12154805>The great debateAs to which is worse?
For Rush fans, there is a recomp or whatever of the arcade versions of the Rock and 2049https://t3hd0gg.com/project-r/
They're both equally shite
Rush at home, Cruis'n at the arcade. The science is settled.
>>12161759Other way around actually.
>>12156387>>12158964If OP's pic instead presented a choice between Daytona/Sega Rally and Rush/Cruis'n, no one ITT would pick the latter
>>12163164I would still choose rush
>>12163164I'm sure there would be a bunch of hardcore westies and people choosing midway/atari shit just to piss people off
>>12154805Rush no doubt. Cruisn was shit
I've played them both (for free with emulation) and really enjoyed a single night with Cruis'n USA, but HATED my 10 minutes with RUSH. Turned that shit off fast. Felt like crap. Problem is, if I paid for either I'd be pissed. There's no depth or content to Cruis'n. So for free: Cruis'nIf you bought these: neither.
Cruis'n is basically an 80s racer with a 90s polygonal and texture mapped skin.
>>12165361It's like a westernized outrun
Rush is shit, any minor mistake and you explode
Rush.Cruis'n has funny crashing but it's just a western ripoff of Outrun... released after Ridge Racer and Daytona USA, which made it obsolete and dated the moment it came out in 1994. It's also infamous for having AI that cheats so hard you can't win every race in 1st place even if you make zero mistakes. Even the world record times for this game can't do that.
>>12154805Cruisin' USA at Pizza HutCruisin' World at home.aww yeaaah
>>12165736Yeah I love how hard and unforgiving rush can be
The great debate. Is OP a faggot or a retard?
cruisn was probably the definite arcade racer of the 90s for me. pure dumb fun
>>12154876>mario doing backwards long jumps in the background
>>121566952049 is only 24 years away…
The track design in SF Rush is peak comfy. The devs put in tons of little details all around the place, it has a similar feeling to exploring the Little States in Pilotwings 64. It's a shame I never discovered how to unlimit the timer as a kid as I hated only getting about 6 minutes per practice session
If Rush's cars had better turning it wouldn't be a contest.
Lots of contrarians in this thread.
>>12167793Rush has my favorite track design of any racing game ever
Is the N64 version of Rush better than the DC one? Because everyone picking it just seems weird.
>>12168004Dreamcast version has better graphics/frameratethe n64 version is really good though
Rush 2049 > Rush San Francisco > Cruisin USA > Ridge Racer 64 > Cruisin World
>>12168164You forgot rush 2 extreme racing USA and cruis'n exotica
>>12168167Sorry didn't play these. Been playing F-ZERO X lately, and some Wipeout. Both are fun
>>12168172You should try out beetle adventure racing too
