I never forgot this one.

Try any single other LEGO game, like LEGO Friends for example.
>>

I like how they put an upper limit on the age recommendation.

Nigga, people are so nostalgic for this game that they even ported the game to web browsers:
https://isle.pizza/
>>
>>12161802
More games should do this. Maybe we wouldn't have so many threads about these baby toddler games if people took the recommendation to heart.

Just filter Sonic, Mario, Donkey, Zelda and this board gets a lot more bearable.
>>
>>12161826
Yea, we might even get less Mario threads because of it.

Lego Racers is where it's at.

That's what happens when a toy company makes a video game. They (rightly) view and treat it as a toy, which tend to have recommended age ranges.

thanks for that anon. really satisfied me

Absolutely not. Maybe lego island 2. Did you even know there was a third one?
>>
>>12161742
god this game would be so fucking cool if it had shadows like that

not that it wasnt already aesthetic, but that playset artstyle and realism wouldve been amazing for 9....8?

lego island was honestly pretty cool for what it was
there wasnt many games that let you wander around and do whatever in a 3D world like that yet
>>
>>12161802
Tfw we can never play that again.
>>
>>12162968
Exactly. The point is the game never gets brought up on 4chan.

Where did this retardation come from and how did it get so widespread? I would think it's just zoomers not knowing how to do anything, but I get this shit from online friends who should be old enough to know better. I tell them about some cool movie or game or whatever and they say "cool, lemme see," so I give them a link and they're like "you're CIA."

spyfox
rly gud point and click for kids. surprising amount of replayability, due to how it randomizes each playthrough.
also the minigame, happy fun sub, is one of my favorite in-game minigames in all of vidya. i used to literally just load up this game simply to play happy fun sub for like an hr straight.
i seem to remember playing go fish against the pig a lot too

I'm a sucker for this style of humor.
>>
>>12163901
that other guy was prolly just schizzing out because it said "pizza" in the link

my favorite is when you give someone a magnet link and they think its a virus somehow. as if this random string of characters can suddenly morph into an executable and start btfoening their computer if they look at it the wrong way
>>
>>12163870
it's narcissistic autists. there's heaps of them over on /g/. they think the CIA is specifically spending money on monitoring them masturbating to pictures of cartoon children.
>>
>>12164098
That's gotta be a different thing. /g/ autists would not be afraid of a link to a rom on archive.org or whatever. Young people today are literally afraid of the Web and only interact with app walled gardens. The idea of downloading a program or a video and then opening it is also totally foreign to them, if it's not on steam or youtube there is no chance they will even try.
>>
>>12163870
Zoomers think any website with a top level domain other than .com, .org, or .net must be some super shady virus website.
>>

I’ll never understand the autism for Lego. It’s just straight up corporate brand worship. Same with apple and Nintendo.
>>
>>12165308
It's satisfying to build models.
>>
>>12165308

theyre a greedy bastard company now for sure, but there was a time where they didnt sell overpriced garbage for adults and they actually cared about the value of creativity and children, i dont know what the hell happened but theyll burn for it sooner or later
>>
>>12165503
>i dont know what the hell happened but theyll burn for it sooner or later
Bionicle was their highest-selling line 2007-2009.
They were also losing money during this time because nearly all Bionicle sets had unique parts so the cost developing the line outweighed any profit on the production of the line.
So then they worked out that the most profitable line at the time was Star Wars.
>>
>>12165308
Because they were awesome? You poor jaded bastard.
>>
>>12165308
You'll never understand because you weren't there when they were still a good toy maker.

I was, until 2001 or so. I didn't become an adult customer of Lego like others have, but I understand 100%.

I don't even recognize the brand anymore whenever I see Lego on shelves. You pay more, for less, the sets themselves suck and it's harder than even to re-use the bricks to make what you want to make. It's a different world altogether.
>>
>>12163610
I wish it got ported to the PS2. The PC version is kind of a pain to set up.
I can deal with the PS1 models and textures but the downgraded animations sucks hard.
>>
>>12165308
sorry you had a shitty childhood anon
>>
>>12165308
>I’ll never understand the autism for Lego.
Never played the games, but it's fun to build things with my Legos.
>>
>>12165905
I gave up on trying to run lego island 1 or 2 on pc , but theres a browser version of lego island one now i think, so thats solved
>>
Since this thread is leaning more toward "lego" than "forgotten," any takes on the Rock Raiders fan remake?
It's got a lot of the usual bullshit, but it does include the original levels. Custom characters and a level creator were nice options.
Ran well enough for me. I thought it was fun.
>>
>>12164236
holy fuck you just gave me a nostalgia bomb
>>
>>12165725
I grew up with lego star wars, but I really liked the more generic lego stuff as well. I wish that they did more with that, since I think stuff like lego island got kids more interested in building whatever they want and playing with legos in the way they should.
>>
>>12161742
Sadly this was Lego game that went gangbusters in sales but then developer studio was shut down to avoid paying bonuses

wow didn't know this existed. I remember wanting to play it back in the day but couldn't get it running on my PC for some reason.
