OP here,

I got super into SM while that whole thing was going on with my family, but around that time i also got into Super Mario World and especially into A Link To The Past, though not as seriously. Nowadays i still play those three a ton (tho Super Metroid is still my top game ), at that time it was mainly SM tho, youre right

Damn.. at least not even an SNES game that takes some modicum of skill like Contra III or the DKC series? You could've learned how to beat DKC1 100% in under an hour. Super Metroid is busywork slop.
