why am I not enjoying this game?
Boring open world and mini games+Mixing Platforming and stealth is not that good of an idea actually
>>12586049constant characters switching and traversal stealth breaks the pacing
>>12586049It's a kids game and you're 40.
>>12586049This game seemed up my alley but I was so sick of it halfway through i slogged through the rest of the game
>>12586584oofright in the actual
>>12586054all stealth games are platformers. Thief is a platformer. Asscreed is a platformer. Tenchu is a platformer. any game that requires precision jumping and skillful navigation of an environment is a platformer.
>>12586584Mods ban this faggot for speaking the truth
>>12586049I remember when this first released and it scored higher than the first game and I immediately lost faith in the gaming industry. It was my first sensation of "open world slop", I simply had zero interest in it. It didn't captivate me like it did all the other mouthbreathing retards that apparently loved it, I was really confused as to why it was so critically acclaimed despite being so inferior to the first game.
>>12586695>all stealth games are platformersMetal Gear is a platformer?
>>12586975does it require you to navigate 3D terrain, with penalties for if you fail to do so?
>>12586980Not in MGS1. Besides your requirements are so weak that 90% of the games can be classified as platformers.
>>12586990>90% of games qualify as platformersyes. all video games since about 1995 have consolidated around platformer-RPGs or racing games, with the only exceptions being deliberately retro games that are usually pixelshit. 'platformer' doesn't just mean kiddy mascot games.
>>12586980So Collin McRae Rally is a platformer, too?
>>12586994Are fighting games platformers because you can jump?
>>12587001>>12587000yes
>>12587009What about your momma since she likes to jump on my dick?

>>12586049It’s literally only fun when you’re young enough to get immersed by the story. You have to be a child to genuinely like it. Even nostalgia for it as an adult isn’t enough. The first game is still good albeit piss easy
>>12586049It's a big step down from the first game
>>12587018yo mama is a shooter cause I shoot my spunk on her face
>>12587253I think so, honestly. I played this as a child and whilst my memory was very fuzzy (the whole section of the game between the 'Indian area' and Clockwerk I'd completely forgotten), I did enjoy the game and beat it. I played through Sly 1 and 2 a couple months back and God... I hadn't played Sly 1 before so I thought it was just that I was remembering Sly's gameplay differently but no, 1 IS that slow and frankly weird for someone who'd only played 2. Coming back to 2 it really is a huge jump up but after the first area it rapidly turned into a slog. I just don't care for doing mandatory fetch quests and that is essentially Sly 2's gameplay. What doesn't help is that the level design progresses the same way in every area: you do 1 opening mission with some espionage, a few general missions followed by a few more then cutscene few more missions okay now we're on the climax of the area which kinda tethers together what you just did the past hour. There's nothing necessarily wrong with it but once I was in Prague it was like God I'm done already lol, give me another game! Also wtf is with Carmelita's voice in the first game?
>>12586049Because you occasionally have to play as Bentley
