Wasteland 3 has a lot of gory scenarios you come across that can be fairly creepy, but not like ghosts or anything. More like body horror, I guess.

Wasteland 3 just seemed capital-M Mediocre to me. It's a shame 2 and 3 were so awful because 1 is amazing and much better than fallout even. Then they made the sequels way worse versions of fallout. And fallout is already kind of bad.

I shit my pants investigating some carnage on a fallout mission, then you come at night and turns out it's a supermutant with stealth, first time seeing oneNovelty wears off after you blasts 200 supermutants, but it was a cool first introduction
You need permadeath and high stakes for horror to be effective. Playing regular RPGs in ironman mode makes non-horror scary.
