The diorama aesthetic is weird. I mean, photorealistic backgrounds with pixel sprite characters is kind of interesting. But this is 3D models on a photorealistic environment - of a closeup miniature. Idk. Maybe if the models looked like plastic miniatures too?

In my experience mobile game plots tend to meander because they were released in chapters or parts over a period of time to keep players coming back. In the case of Fantasian, I read it was released in 2 parts originally. It's going to be like binge watching old TV shows on a streaming platform. They weren't made to be marathoned. Parts are repetitive, because previous episode were aired months or years apart. You know? Cliff hangers that aren't going to keep anyone on the edge of their seat because they go straight into the next episode.

One of my strongests never ever wishes is to see this game properly remade or at least ported on a pc platform. It is the most overlooked and sadly overshadowed game I know of.
People are vastly underestimating this game, it's a real gem that rivals Sakaguchi's work with FFIX and just his career in general. Also the second half is going to filter a LOT of people because that's when the real difficultly kicks in.

It's a great game but it's the kind of game you want to sit down and play for hours and hours so the mobile platform bit's a bit of a swing and a miss along with the controls on a mobile device vs a gamepad.You've got nothing to lose with the trial, if you like it and don't mind the platform you can play it for free 100%. If you like the game but hate the platform you can buy it on PC. If you hate the platform before buying, the switch version is right there to be your "demo", then you can buy on PC etc.
