You'll need to play Witcher and K:CD. That's basically everything from the piss era. Might as well play Fable since it influenced so many games, including some of the ones you listed.

Difficulty factor is overrated - just don’t be an idiot and you’ll persevere. Would reccomend starting with Demons souls assuming you have a PS5. If not, skip to Dark Souls 1… Dark Souls 1 is a work of art, but would be tough to roll back to play if you start with the later games in the series.Do this:1. Demons Souls (only if you already have a PS5 - not worth buying PS5 just for this.2. Dark Souls3. Dark Souls 3 4. Elden Ring (w DLC)Dark Souls 2 is just weird. People are split - the gameplay is fine… feels a little “floaty” but still “souls.” It’s the story, setting, and structure that people are split over. The idea is that the cycle started in Dark Souls repeats itself uncountable times, and while it wraps up in Dark Souls 3, Dark Souls 2 is just a story about one of these countless cycles and doesn’t have a lot of impact on the overall story (from what I can tell - the stories in these games is esoteric, which is really cool imo).Elden Ring is an entirely separate story (as is Demons Souls). It’s amazing… like one of the greatest games ever made, but if you want to enjoy more titles in the series, best to start with some of the earlier ones.
