Zombie Exodus Safe Haven part 4 next year. What do I think of it?
Fang!
>>3881841Love!
>>3881838>What do I think of it?I don’t know, tell us! But I think it’s a great gameI’m going to impregnate Jillian then cheat on her with Brody! :3
>aura spic:/
>>3881846The perfect woman.
I like zombies, is this series any good?
>>3881906Very good imo.
>>3881907I guess I should start with Zombie Exodus, then Stronghold, then Safe Haven?
>>3881974>Zombie ExodusDon't even bother with that. It's shit. Just play Safe Haven.
>>3881838Its probably good but I get filtered by the stats and the massive list of things you can do in a time limit. I finished the first part once and remember being pretty merciful except for the chick who tried to kill me multiple times so I left her to die to the zombies, turns out the best friend dude wanted to fix her
>>3881980It's also an arm and a leg. $30 on steam but can only play the first 2 chapters through the cogsite? What the fuck man.
>>3882244Just buy the game chud, and support our authors so they can make future games for you to enjoy
>>3882264I did buy the game. But I thought it was the whole game. Not just the first couple chapters.Unless my steam just hasn't synched with my cog account properly. But I haven't had this issue with any other game.>>3881980I'll add that I did enjoy the prologue. Especially the scene with the little girl by herself at the park. That's the kind of interaction I want in the early hours of a zombie outbreak. The opening scene in the hotel/apartment lobby was fucking retarded tho. A couple women running around in circles taking turns in distracting a zombie, an unrelated guy about to die and turn into a zombie, and two armed police standing outside the lobby door making sure people don't break the curfew while all this is going on right behind them? What the fuck is that?
>>3882266Picture brown indian officers in Toronto and it makes sense.
soulbound got an update but at the rate its going I think its gonna be another 50 years until my ghost can kissu the ginger neet
new Magium update out
>mfw LunarGOOD KiihakAMAZING
>>3882351I thought it's dead.
>>3882351>Magium>>3882331>soulboundCan I get a tl;dr on these?
>>3882422>MagiumYou play as a magic otaku who can't use any magic so you decide to join a magic tournament, believing that after winning it, you will be granted your wish to become a mage. MC is an autistic Chad. One year ago the author an heroed because of cancer and depression. Apparently, he talked about the plot with his brother and mother and a bunch of fans decided to continue writing the game using his family as a wikipedia for future plot points or something? I would appreciate it if someone could elaborate on that.
>>3882441There's nothing to elaborate on. There's no update, the game is as dead as the author.
>>3881838Reily and Nora are the best characters there btw
>>3882445Nora died in the first book right? Reilly is not that interesting imo.
>>3882446Second book. And Reilly is great and only gets better after she dies. I love befriending him as teenager, because he makes a great older brother.

>>3882485>frontend devShould just hire the Shepherds of Haven girl>composerCould be kino but I doubt it from the money he's likely to throw at the project>second visual artistWonder if he'll finally be smart enough to get one for Infinity too
Cyoa for this feel?
>>3882502Samurai of Kusoga
>>3882502PoMA has that feel at times, but no explicit NTR afaict. I'm not done witk Spices of the Heart but it takes place after you got cheated on. I don't know of any games that straight up steal your girl, but I'm sure there are some where you can fail to romance her so she ends up with someone else.
>>3882508>PoMA has that feel at times, but no explicit NTR afaict.Long Chen penetrated Mei Mei's every hole while she was making sweet eyes at you.>I'm sure there are some where you can fail to romance her so she ends up with someone elseIn the Tale of Heroes by this filthy brownoid Juan there is a white blonde fake RI with whom you can flirt but she always chooses his self-insert.

>>3882529I didn't see anything like that in War for the West. Got another one of his you can recommend?
>>3882516Is this true? And why do they call him "long" Chen?
>>3882551It is. Mei Mei managed to manipulate him so hard that he gave her a huge chunk of Tang Wei's power, despite him having a harem. He was not some virgin boy enamored by the first girl who was nice to him. You can only imagine what depraved acts she did for him to lose his mind that badly.
>>3882542It's literally in War for the West and you get an achievement for it.
>>3882530>played all of themI need more games that let me play as a shota. Even DoL no longer lets me do that properly.
>>3882542To expand upon this >>3882560When the northern prince come for a visit, and he presents his sisters for marriage (be a male obviously)select the warrior sister, she’s the one that will cuckold you with one of your soldiersbe warned she’ll only cuck you of you cheated on her first, if you’re Layla to the marriage she’ll be loyal as well>>3882561Haven’t played it in a while desu, but I’m pretty sure you’re still in an orphanage, and still in school, where the headmaster could discipline you for misbehaving and paddle your barebutt to be that signals that the MC is still in whatever the British equivalent is to middle school, so the MC is quite literally underaged
>>3882560>>3882569Ah, that would explain why I missed it. I only played thrice, wasn't enjoying it enough to try out different paths like that. I'm still hoping to try his other games though.
>>3882422>>soulboundfantasy knight pc gets betrayed by mage griffith and wanders around as a ghost for a few centuries until its modern day not-new york where they get tied to the hip to a cute retard mage because of a magic bomb going off. magic feds want to use the ghost to try to find more magic bombs/the perpetrators since the ghost was sorta magically attracted to the first one which is why it was there when it blew up. the feds see the cute retard as dead weight which isn't inaccurate but it is mean she's trying her best. theres also flashback segments to when the ghost was alive with his best friend who just constantly signposts about being a sociopathic fuck who will betray you in the future and his haughty noble girlfriend who doesn't like the PC for being a country hick. I don't really care about that part.
>>3881838It's somewhat related, but has anyone played Citizen Sleeper?
>>3882569I mean it is still there, but they toned it down a lot compared to stuff before.
I finished what's available of Spices of the Heart, and there's quite a bit. The kitchen stuff doesn't interest me whatsoever, but I'm curious where the endgame will lead wrt buying the restaurant or earning another star. Fun SoL drama, appreciate that I can romance everyone at once, although the MC is weirdly wishy-washy about any relationship talk. I think it's worth playing if you like romance and smut with feels.
Play Bastard of Camelot pls :3Oh and if you liked Slammed!, you’ll definitely like All world: Pro Wrestling :D>>3882703Tbh I kinda wish there was less infidelity in her games, the back story of every MC in her smutty gaymes has them being cheated on by their significant others or fiancés :/Okay, admittedly it was pretty funny and fun to read at first, but now the novelty is just wearing off for me personally
>>3882706I (mostly) liked the way it was handled in SotH but I can imagine it getting tiring quickly. I probably won't touch any of her other games until this one's complete.>Bastard of CamelotI'll check it out after Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven. I've managed to keep my planned-reading list short so far.
>>3882711Bastard of Camelot will never be finished so don't even bother.
>>3882716I agree. The game is dogshit and features incest, bestiality and homosexuality. The flip tranny praises it but CoG would NEVER releass it on their platform, and for a good reason.
>>3882719*release
>>3882719>Rent freeluckily it’s not on CoG :D!!!!
>>3882719The one female RO chopping her breasts off was also pretty funny. It's no wonder that fags like it.
>>3882723It's a dogshit game with nothing worth talking about besides fucking your transexual dragon "sibling".
>>3882726I kinda liked the scenes with Arthur and your mother, but otherwise it's not good.
>>3882725Ummm, it was necessary for her to do that you bigoted chud, now she can ride a dragon properly without issue! Big fr cow rotted tend to get in the way of that :p>>3882726It’s a good game, you don’t like it because the author happens to be trans

>>3882734Am phone-posting currently :(I meant to say: *big fat cow titties tend to get in the way of that
how would tits get in the way of riding a mount
>>3882441>>3882411>I would appreciate it if someone could elaborate on that.I lied
>>3882741When riding, especially at a trot or gallop the torso moves a lot. Larger, heavier breasts have more momentum, so without proper support they can:1. Bounce painfully2. Pull on chest/shoulder tissues3. Cause soreness after the rideAnd riders lean forward to varying degrees depending on the style of riding and the animal’s motion so leaning forward can compress breasts against the chest or saddle pommel. On wider mounts (common in fantasy), the forward-lean posture is more pronounced, which means more pressure.
>>3882744you would think that there being at least centuries of female dragon riders existing that there would be some development of breast support like a sports bra rather than just chopping off your tits
>>3882745Even that doesn't matter, fact is that if the author never brought it up then no one would have spared it a second thought. But he really needed a reason for her to chop her breasts off so here we are.
>>3882745If I recall correctly she initially was using a chest binder when she would ride her dragon, don’t know why she would cut off her boobs, I think it also had something to do with the marriage proposal to our brother
>>3882748If your brother's fiance cuts off her tits you cut off the marriage. I don't even like my brother and I'd never let him be disrespected like that.

>>3883661I appreciate the sentiment but at least wait until I release the first demo.>Change the names of every characterIt's set two centuries before the start of the story, there aren't many characters I could change the name of. >>3883663I just don't like bugs honestly, I haven't given RI a serious spin yet
>>3883662YMMV on the main character but the world and the power system are very interesting. I'd recommend it to any Xianxia fan, it deserves its fame.

>>3883681>and it's sequel:)
>>3883682do people not like the sequel or...?
>>3883683No, it's a pretty big downgrade. The MC is the biggest mary sue and there's not a lot of tarot club stuff.
>>3883657Absolutely based. Change just enough of the names and system to make it a legally distinct homage so I can pay you for it.
>>3883684Damn thats a shame, the tarot club dynamics are half of the reason you keep reading through some of Klein's downtime.
>>3883697Another pretty big problem is the China pandering, the western continent is basically notChina and when the MC has to wake Klein from his sleep he goes into His dream where he sees how great the glorious People's Republic of China was
>>3883902Oh, I also hated the tranny pathways Lumian has.
>>3882351>MagiumNow that's a name I haven't heard in a long time...>>3882830Unfathomably based
>>3882485Woah like a proper VN? I'm not a fan of Wang's WoD game though so we'll have to see>>3882569>spoilerSounds kind of kino
>>3881838I'm having fun with Safe Haven so far, there's loads to explore and I like the variety of short-term and long-term choices. The cast of characters is great, the story is pretty interesting although I feel like I'm missing a lot in my current (first) playthrough as a hacker without internet or electricity...As for complaints, I don't get the romance system at all. The later parts have some typos and minor inconsistencies. It's kinda mean to arbitrarily exclude Johnny from voting. The game often gives me a chance to perform several actions over the course of a day or afternoon, then suddenly jumps several days ahead, messing with my plans. Rachel once kept repeating the same actions until I ran out of dialogue options and had to agree with her, presumably because of a failed Willpower check? There were no clear consequences, she never told me the results of her mission, and it wouldn't matter anyway cause the MC already knew what she was trying to find out (telling her wasn't an option for some reason).I've been playing as a complete goody two shoes, 80%+ Humanity & Morality & Straightforward & Honorable & Idealistic, but she tanked several of those somehow.I'll do an evil playthrough next, but I suspect it'll be rather tame.
>>3884419SE:SH actually has pretty decent "evil" choices. Usually extreme practicality pays off and people actually vote for you the most if you tell them you're only out for the welfare of the group and no one else during the speech.
>>3884418Less so a VN and more like a twine game with fancier UI from what he made it sound.
>>3884513I don't trust him with anything other than Infinityverse.
>>3884513That's not his writing. His style would be a Tolstoyan essay about the abominable little midget man. He literally can't mention him without seething.
>>3884555Imagine being mindbroken by Wang's milktoast historical opinions of all things. He barely even says anything critical of Napoleon beyond the whole 'betrayed La Révolution" thing and taking potshots at his diplomatic abilities or cringe personal moments Nappy had plenty of.
>>3884562You could immediately name three different areas where he keeps taking potshots at Napoleon. Is that supposed to prove he's not seething at him?
>>3884419>several actions over the course of a day or afternoon, then suddenly jumps several days aheadThe next chapter is much clearer. Yay! I also enjoyed the difficulty of the research center. Although it was odd that we defend against a gas trap with my supply of gas masks, then later notice gas flowing into our room, mention out loud that we recognize the gas, but still let it slowly knock us out instead of using our gas masks again.>>3884495I definitely expect it to be viable, but my impression of the writing is that the most "evil" you can be is cynical selfishness, with a sprinkle of killing those who annoy you. I want my evil characters to be genuine sadistic monsters.
>>3884619>I want my evil characters to be genuine sadistic monsters.Oh I kinda doubt you can actually be evil like that, but I also never really tried.
I want my evil characters to be chuuni retards that think they want to be evil but are really bad at it because they're misguided and are liable to get bodied by the actual evil dudes.
>>3884777We have that in every HG or CoG game about being a villain. Most famously Fallen Hero.
Brutally murdering Jillian was funny at least.
>>3884790fh is too angsty with the protagonist having a whole tragic backstory and telepath abilities and woe is me stuff, I want to be a wannabe not an actual edge lord

>>3885016Jillian's character arc is great. I liked her alright as a cynical conartist, but the way she turns into a clingy lost puppy grateful to you for helping her be a better person really sold me on her. I think I'll focus on romancing her on my next morally good playthrough.
>>3885036That's because his og intent was to make it Lyle's. Apparently he likes to fuck with his readers which I lowkey respect.>>3885053Yeah, I second this. You don't often see these sort of ro's in cog probably because it's toxic and bigoted or whatever and the non red flag way is to make your female characters strong and independent and muscled.

I've finally finished the available chapters of ZE:SH, managed to keep everyone alive and in my group, and seem to be on good terms with every rival group except those Stay Safe pricks. The writing got drastically worse in the later chapters though, I guess they haven't had as much time for proofreading as parts that have been out for years. I still look forward to future chapters, will be replaying it a few times, still plenty of unexplored routes.Bastard of Camelot next, need a new rec for after that.

I feel like this would be better as an actual book or fanfic. There were a few cute scenes, and I appreciate the worldbuilding. The intrigue is fun too. But the choices mostly felt meaningless, and often assumed emotions that weren't implied, going against my intended responses or forcing MC to feel a certain way. I kinda sped through the available chapters ignoring all romantic options, expecting the story to really get going at some point, but it hasn't been written that far yet. Maybe it would have been more fun if I got invested in the romance, but they're all brats (not the fun kind), none of them appealed to me.It also tried to act like failing to tell someone who your mother is before you have consensual adult intercourse is rape? In a world with arranged marriages of child brides? Well, worldview aside, it was mostly just a disappointing game when it could have been an interesting story about intrigue and schemes and whatnot. I'd have dropped it after one chapter because of the typos if not for all the anons warning me off.
>>3885856Have you tried Life of a Wizard or Night Road?
>>3885626I assume Tally Ho and Jolly Good are games, not praise directed at me. I'll check them out after AToH. You were right about being stuck in childhood, but it didn't even have much fluff.>>3885665Eksdee. Sure, I'll replay it again, might try the blue style next.>>3885858They don't ring a bell. Good plotge?
>>3885859Life of a Wizard is dry but direct, it covers a fun standard adventure quickly with some choices mattering a good bit. Night Road is the CoG flagship with Paradox that brought all the Vampire the Masquerade fans over. It has a good plot and all the Disciplines and Clans done right. It's v5 which sucks though. V5 lore means 150 is an "elder" (lmao) and all elders are answering some vague summons compulsion to go to the middle east where they disappear. Its their asspull reason for why the government of mortals and the anarchs are both hoofstomping the millenia old vampire webs of control when in reality its probably just a hungry Antediluvian spamming Presence 4 on his phonebook.
>>3885859Also A Tale of Heroes is the cuck simulator. It's written with a cool premise: you're literally not the MC, you're like a Sanji to some other dude being Luffy, and you need to try and keep pace and handle the problems you can. It's a good idea.Except it's written by an immature brown thirdie, so he self inserts himself as the real MC and has the main RO leave you for him and that's the cannon ending because they're supposed to be together.
>>3885856Try Officer of the Fleet if you haven't yet, it's promising spacekino.
>>3885861>It's written with a cool premiseI appreciate you still trying to trick the newfriend into reading AToH but let's be honest here, there is nothing good about this game. There are no compelling mechanics or even any choice for that matter. The plot is trash. The characters are boring. The setting is laughable. Without the cuck drama, it would be absolutely forgettable. The game is a meme.
>>3885869Have you played slammed or any of the other classics? Like Choice of Robots? If you’ve read through and exhausted the CoG catalogue and are tired of doing replays, you might enjoy some of the stories written here https://chooseyourstory.com/One of the stories by EndMaster has incest in it if you’re into that :p
I'm still surprised there are people who actually read and care about Bastard of Camelot. After 10 minutes I was ready to write it off forever. I know nothing about the author but I could not help but imagine a bored housewife or single mom who religiously reads trashy fantasy lit typing away her arthurian fan fic while patting herself on the back for being a "good ally" or whatever.
>>3885876The author is trans and she’s really trying her best, be nice
>>3885860V5 and Julian are the only things I'd say hold Night Road back, everything else is pretty spot on and cool, very imaginative set pieces. Also, a bit weird the way Kindred populations are implied to function there but everything is kind of a hand wave for the plot anyway
>>3885876I wish it was written by a bored housewife, because then we'd finally be getting into the raunchy stuff instead of being stuck in childhood/teenhood hell
>>3882492>Should just hire the Shepherds of Haven girlshe makes like $4k a month, what would she want with the spare change he could give her?
>>3885856the thinking behind "morgana raped arthur" is that she knows he'd never have consented if he knew the truth. rape by deception is considered a real and awful thing by a lot of people in the real world, though usually not considered quite as bad as straight up forcible rape, and it can be hard to define
>>3886213>rape by deceptionlmao, no it isn't. None of these people actually believe that, they just mean that they regret sex sometimes and project that onto others. None of the people who talk about "rape by deception" agree with dudes killing trannies when they find out what they are in bed. They SHOULD, since he's killing a rapist, which is good, right? They also don't count it when some ugly chick uses a ton of makeup to look like a whole different woman. They think that isn't rape at all in any way even though it completely deceives who the person is physically. They don't believe in "rape by deception", they just worship victim status and invent reasons for why they deserve it.
Reading through chapter 6 of AToH, can't say I'm enjoying it so far. The MC starts off extremely obnoxious, then acts normal for a bit, then turns chuuni, then back to annoying, just super inconsistent. I was expecting more action from a hero story, instead it's mostly dialogue and one or two unsatisfying battles. I thought about romancing Ignis and it took one (1) flirty choice for her to cling to me, which feels undeserved. All in all, bland but inoffensive, I'll keep going to see if that cuck stuff several anons have mentioned holds true.>>3885860>>3885866Sounds good to me, I look forward to the palate cleanser, thanks.>>3886213That doesn't make sense to me. I get conditional consent and all that, and risking disease or inbreeding by tricking someone is bad, and being deceived by someone you're intimate with is heartbreaking, yadda yadda etc etc. It simply isn't rape if he consented, even in ignorance. I can imagine a culture which does see it as rape, but not if it allows for arranged child brides, that combination in particular breaks my suspension of disbelief.>>3886216If you're being genuine you've been brain poisoned. None of that follows from thinking deceit undermines consent.
Oh, it's over already. That's odd. No cucking has happened yet, in fact the MC's relationship never got past a split second smooch.I meant unearned not undeserved, but at this point it's just nothing. Was I supposed to romance the squishy tomboy? She hasn't shown feelings for anyone, nor has Aki.
>>3886248https://forum.choiceofgames.com/t/a-tale-of-heroes-wip-224k-words-updated-29-01-2025/93292/2799Here you have confirmation that "it's a failed romance, totally not a cuck fantasy where my self insert takes the blonde and has threesome with her and another chick." This retard also commissioned several pieces of art of these two characters. He is a well known lolcow here and A Tale of Cucks is not the only reason we mock him.
I think its pretty simple of "I wouldn't have fucked her if I knew she was my sister because ew". like opedious was devestated when he realized he fucked his mom and cut his eyes out because of it.
>>3886261So it IS about Ignis! Huh. I don't really care what he writes on his tumblr, but I guess it's good to know the bad writing won't be getting better any time soon, saves me from following the WIP.>>3886270Sure, I get why it's devastating for the spineless king, 100%. But her closest friend (her "sister") and her own son call her a rapist to her face. They can accept her poisoning, murdering, plotting to steal a throne even if it throws a continent into chaos, but draw the line at keeping mum before sex?
>>3886278I could get the kid being pissed at his mom for conciving him in a way where its nearly impossible for him to have a normal relationship with his dad because his dad wants nothing to do with them in a "why couldn't you start a normal family why do you have to be so obessed with the stupid throne" kind of way. dunno about the other character
Honest question, how is it cucking if she left you BEFORE anything physical happened between the two?
>>3886248I suspect you played the public version and not the patreon
>>3886296ROs owe me sex
>>3886296The next time you go on a date with a girl and she gives you lovey dovey eyes and plants a kiss on your cheek after the first date, you can proudly boast that its not a loss when she rails some brown dude the next week.
>>3886312Correct, I just went on cogdemos. I'm under the impression that there's no point reading more of this. Do you think it's worthwhile?
>>3886316Why care if she had broken up with me though? Was she actively cheating while we were in a relationship? If that’s a no, then that’s not cucking
>>3886245i agree the world is particularly convincing, it's just a vaguely medieval fantasy with modern values stapled on.and agree to disagree on the rape part (though i found all the characters condemning her for it - besides arthur, obviously he'd be mad about it - to be kinda boring and unconvincing? i skimmed those parts). imo at a certain level lying to obtain sex is rape, though it's probably not a lie like "i make 2 million a year" when they actually live in a van by the river, but concealing being siblings is a fair place to call it
>>3886448Aww, I hate agreeing to disagree. But I'm aware that this isn't the right place to discuss the subtleties of rape, and we agree for the most part anyway. Have you given me a recommendation already? If not, would you like to?I'm currently halfway(?) through Life of a Wizard, very cute little game. It reminds me of .swf games like How to Raise a Dragon. After that, I'll get started on Night Road. Then maybe Officer of the Fleet.
finished the demo of zombie exodus on the cogsite. i agree with one anon in that the lobby scene is fucking jarring and i never felt in danger of stray zombies or someshit. maybe its a prologue thing or a cyoa time of thing. debating on whether i should shill for it cause im somewhat invested now but its a cyoa game.
>>3886590The ZE prologue was so ass I almost never got around to playing ZESH which became one of my favorites.
I remember liking Zombie Exodus well enough when I tried it years ago, was neat being able to kind of cure the infection and getting my waifu pregnant and having a kid in the ending though I think the game said we had to generally live separately because of my whole working to save humanity reasons
I'm trying to do an evil teenager playthrough of ZE:SH but even after lying and stealing and needlessly murdering innocents, I'm at 80% morality, 61% Humanity, 58% Honorable, 56% Idealistic. Do I have to choose rude dialogue options or something? Whatever, so far the route is pretty similar to the good run. Except with fewer group members of course.Teenager seems a bit overpowered with its cheaper skills. Delusions is a surprisingly fun challenge. I appreciate the death scenes being both tragic and meaningless, really fits the mood. I'm oddly affected after helping all these people survive to the end in my good playthrough, only to see them die for nothing by my hand now..
>>3886527i haven't given a rec, i don't hang around in the threads too much. i guess if you're liking life of a wizard you might like the evertree inn series? though the latest game in the series is basically half a game and who knows when the next one will come outand just in general, i'd rec pon para (i'll get to fuck a pirate by q3 2026, trust the plan), silverworld, and both deathless games
I still don't know what orichalcum is
More games should let me be an evil wizard.
>>3886752>silverworld, and both deathless gamesHuh, these look cooler than I expected for something I haven't heard of
Anybody got game recs for the official or unofficial games? or like a guess a broad review? I'll probably pirate some on my spare time but I may consider buying
since we're talking about games we're playingI just finished the new game, an imp and impostor and it was actually kind of good? It's a fun urban fantasy detective story, romanced the partner and she was very cute. My only issues are the muslim inspired setting, the annoying gay necromancer and that im pretty sure the game bugged out at some point during the climax as I had a choice between two things and it gave me the option to do them both.Currenty started Psy high and it's been pretty comfy so far. Thank you random anon who linked me to the save game plugin.
>>3886759It's just a generic name for a fantasy metal so authors don't have to strain their two braincells coming up with a unique name for their setting. In certain editions of Shadowrun (the good ones) you could mass-produce it and rack up insane amounts of money whenever your GM wasn't looking.
>>3886821An Unexpectedly Green Journey
just started the second fallen hero gameis there anything i specifically need to do to fuck herald?don't want to cuck myself out like i did in I the forgotten one by acting like too much of a spastic
What do you guys want to see the most in future IFs? For me it's more trans-lesbian representation.
>>3886998An Overlord game that lets you be a real villain. I want to enslave the gnomes and incinerate my enemy's fortress while casting a corruption spell at their heroine to turn her into an evil lieutenant/RO. Fight rival villains and bitch slap a dragon, then make my conquered enemies work the mines for my riches.Instead I'll get a lecture about how that's colonization, the gnomes need to be quipping me while they win, the hero needs to be brown and to defeat me, and the heroine needs a beard for trans representation.
>>3886821>Sabres/Guns/Lords of Infinity>Unexpectedly Green JourneyAnd as far as normal games are concerned:>Life and Suffering of Sir Brante>Suzerain>Sorcery!I guess some lunatic could spin Roadwarden as a cyoa and that was alright, too. That's about it, everything else ranges between unfinished, meh and pure dogshit
>>3887002Anyone can write a choicescript game
>>3886857Thanks choom>>3887005Interesting reqs. Yeah I've played Roadwarden too and it's honestly really good though not quite a cyoa as much as a text RPG.Probably going to check them out after Citizen Sleeper>>3887008Yeah but that doesn't mean you'll get an audience or get anything out of it other than wanking yourself creatively. I probably couldn't, I'm a bit shit at dialogue which doesn't really match my pretty good scenario creativity without much more time investment. I feel like those games also struggle with perspective due to the nature of needing to be 1st/2nd person game novels
>>3886998fitzie shenanigans
>>3886795they're a little weird, and more importantly they aren't really romance focused, which rules out ever becoming popular with the extremely romance-brained CG audience (not to be disparaging, i like romance i even read actual romance novels sometimes, its just not the main reason I'll read something). plus deathless is just old.if you end up liking the deathless ones, the author writes normal books in the same universe. I haven't gotten around to trying them so I can't vouch for quality, though
>>3887147Deathless has pretty decent romance actually, on top of just having an actually original setting. Nowadays it seems all you get is discount harry potter slop with some token trannies shoved in.
>>3886340Cucking is pretty much entirely emotionally-focused, so for people who are cucked to their very souls the logic doesn't matter. If a women they at ever point so much as looked at with desire fucks someone else, it's cucking.
>>3881838Has anything good come out in the past 6 months?
>>3887242Nope!
>>3886998For less of them to read like poorly written romantasy
>>3887242Aura Clash
>>3887242Depends on what you consider good and if WoDslop where you get raped by a vampire (twice) counts as good Wang's game is mediocre, I hope the next Hunter game they push out will be good but seeing as how you get to get fucked by a Werewolf in that one again I'm inclined to say it's a retread
>>3887274wang slop is still better than that werewolf game
>>3887274>no DON'T let us fuck the monstersI'm pretty sure like half the appeal of vtm and its ilk is trying to fuck/"fix" the monsters
>>3887292I wouldn't say so, Glenkildove has some genuinely cool supernatural encounters and a lot of variety. It just horribly misrepresents the exact lore but in a Hunter game that isn't a huge deal. I'm talking about the new Hollywood one, it does the misunderstood monster trope probably 3x as much as the other games combined
>>3887296There's>fuck the monster: I can fix her/him editionWhich can be based, but also if it's overused and especially in an HtR game you sort of end up with derivative slop pulling from too many different sources. Then there's Wang's attempt>She/They can make me worseWhich is kind of bleak but more realistic to the setting, and also kind of based. My issue with Day for Night is that>the vampire is a misunderstood monster and he's just ambitious and hungry lol>the werewolf is a misunderstood monster and a nice guy lol when he's not crazyIt's kind of like beating a dead horse
>>3887299>>3887296I guess to compound on this further, every single werewolf and vampire and even the fae bitch in Glenkildove except the surprise antagonist was some flavor of misunderstood monster, only one of them was fuckable though. I'm not entirely against the idea, but in a Hunter game, having it only be misunderstood monsters that you hunt, really devalues the lore and setting where most of these guys are kind of just dicks for the sake of being dicks
>>3887304>the fae bitch the fae is completely irredeemable though. its being classic WoD fae of ruining someone's life for shits and giggles and the only thing you can do is make a deal with it to leave that person alone and curse you instead
>>3887179i've only ever done wakefield's, but that i still remember it fondly like 7 years after originally playing it (and maybe 3 years since the last playthrough?) says good things. the other ROs any fun?
>>3887317Aine is fae blooded I'm pretty sure, but considering the werewolves were violently unstable and the Fae was keeping Aine safe and a requirement for you to get one of the few peaceful endings she's certainly not trying to ruin Aine's life for no reason. Fae are probably the hardest monsters to judge because they don't do the whole good and evil thing
I know Lords of Infinity recently released in 2023, but damn it feels like it’s been a decade already, and that reminds me:Mind Blind STILL isn’t outShephards of Haven seems too ambitious, the author should cut back on the romances, or put them on hold and release them as a DLC or somethingTriaina: Academy is dead (I assume)Authors take too damn long to put out a game, or they abandon midway just to return to it years or even decades later, the genre is done for if this continues
>>3887337jolly good cakes and ale trust the plan
>>3887336>Fae are probably the hardest monsters to judge because they don't do the whole good and evil thingThat's just called evil. When Adolf Hitler protects you from a communist revolution, he is still be Adolf Hitler. The fae is a murderous monster by choice.
