It's cute and quite fun. People seem to compare it to civilization due to its presentation and concepts, but I found that it actually plays closer to something you'd play on tabletop simulator. I've only played a single game with AI on hard, and unfortunately its early access status reflects on it, since my game had to end with it hanging as is tried to process the AI turn. Looking forward to how it develops.

It's very close to battle for polytopia, I think it's almost that game with different factions and hero units

It's fun, I like the art and the hero units have some cool features, mechanics and variety without necessarily invalidating the normal units and economy gameplay
For a few criticisms, the faction roster is quite small for now, unless you play with few factions a lot of the ais will be weak placeholders without features that you steamroll until you have the real factions horrifically outnumbered, the heroes seem like they might not be completely balanced though maybe not enough experience to say personally (just within factions, suwako looks much stronger than sanae, koishi much stronger than rin, flandre than anyone else at lv.4)
I find it slightly odd that the heroes have such focus but are barely animated, though maybe it wouldn't fit with the aesthetic if they were
