why do jap cities look so much more cleaner and more enjoyable to exist in
>>7862513picking up trash is an extremely important thing they try to maintain. It's drilled into them literally in school with students taking on cleaning duties after classes. Also collectivist culture.that said, there's also an aspect of Japan always trying to put its best face forward to keep other people (even eachother) from seeing possible flaws in their country. I mean the low crime rate is actually largely the effect of crime just not being reported or ignored.

>>7858123what's the point of a convenience store thats only accessible by metrorail ... seems quite inconvenient to me
>>7862526This country is safe and clean because the people who live here have respect for public spaces, not "collectivist culture" like this dirty fucking weeb >>7862526 says. Even in rural places, where you'd think people are more free to do what they want, have clean streets. >>7862513>I mean the low crime rate is actually largely the effect of crime just not being reported or ignored. This might be the dumbest thing I've read on 4chan ever. Cope harder, then kys.
>>7862526>I mean the low crime rate is actually largely the effect of crime just not being reported or ignored. The only thing that's relevant to is things like harassment towards women which is always thrown out the window, and obviously Yakuza beating their illegals up. If crime was actually higher it would be noticed a lot more. But yeah if you're a girl (especially lonely) going out drinking, you're basically setting yourself up to be touched by a drunk jap and asking the police for help is like trying to talk to a cat, he will just stare and walk away
>>7866759you know they have convenience stores in most stations right?
I miss Japan bros.
I'll post a few, I hope that some of these can be used as screensavers, hope yall enjoy

>>7867007anyone have this in higher resolution?
>>7879161is it weird that i could tell it wasnt japan faster by looking at the people and how theyre dressed/walking/leg shape than i could by the kanji/architecture?
anyone have the overcast one where its like a train station of some sorts and the camera is facing a door that shows the sea
I'd love to travel to Japan, my biggest obstacle I think is just not knowing any Japanese. If I had a reliable Japanese friend I'd ask them to teach me "I'm just a tourist, don't be so angry" and attempt to do my trip only saying that line over and over again.
>>7882704Dude don't worry about it, if you can talk in english, you should use the google translator app and translate every sentence with the speech function from eng to jap
>>7882704Don't stress it。 There are definitely some phrases that you can rope learn in under a week that will pull you through。 If they see you trying, they will look after you。
>>7882704same here, duolingo isnt bad especially for day to day phrases. japanese is a hard language though. like other anons said theres ways around it though, whether by using a translator app for more niche stuff and learning just general simple sentences.
>>7871077was it smelly in this area? be honest.
>>7882704you don't need to know any japanese at all to enjoy japan imo, especially tokyo. went there a couple years ago for a week and everything was in english. pretty much all staff that i interacted there knew english too.
>>7862646At least post the proper version

>>7890736I thought it was the lack of Whyte people?
>>7883648Nice to see you had a nice time in Japan. I hope to visit it someday as well.Fortunately I have good Japanese knowledge I can use of course.
>>7882704anon if that's the thing stopping you, get on the plane tomorrow. Japan definitely doesn't require any native language skill. As other anons have said, most signage is in English, and most people will understand basic English (even if they won't speak it back to you).Amazing holiday destination

>>7866900Correct. Although sexual assault against women is common, things like muggings and random beatings are very rare.

>>7866759>>7868345my favorite coffeeshop is at yokohama station keikyu line, it's on the platform after you swipe in, great coffee and they also have a nice stationary store, loved spending a few minutes there thinking, texting, or getting last minute work done, even had a meeting there few timestldr: it's a thing, and it works
>>7869923Tell us about it, anon. Was it a one time vacation? Were you working there? What's your experience? And, most importantly, could you get laid?
