Saved. Would you ever do some in 1920x1200?
>>
>>7899710
You can export from magicvoxel and import it into other software for rendering.

It might take a bit to getting used to but it will help solve a lot of simple issues, example shinning light through glass and generating landscapes or wantting to do water or cloud sims.

thank you friend. i can for sure do that size, any one in particular you want?

>what are some good resources you used to learn

not OP, but sometimes the best/more interesting way to learn a new piece of software is to forget the user guide and any tutorials and just dive in and use the software, try creating different random things with it, play with all of the controls and settings and options, just experiment and generally just try and have fun with it

>>7899897
speaking of which, glad to hear you're having fun with this new software/skill Anon, keep up the good work

also, have you played Kairo (the game, not the film)? 'cause this artwork is giving me some serious Kairo vibes (see attached pic for example) :D

Yea that is honestly the best way to learn at first is just to explore, most of the software is really robust and have crazy amount of tools, once you figured out the basics of navigating and using the viewer just look up tutorials on specif things you want to learn.

3d is full of very specif and niche information and each thing you are trying to make may be more complex then what you think.

the folks that make the program OP has been using to make these excellent images apparently have a whole tutorial section on their site, link to the site is in another post above

for other 3D programs it'll depend on which one you get into, but most of the most commonly used programs have some kind of either official or unofficial community forum somewhere online for dealing with user support, tutorials, etc.

you're right on both fronts. i'm limited to rendering most of these on a laptop rtx 3060 at a weird resolution. lot of quality loss and weirdness when i resize. i will do my best to fix this in the future. thank you

Bro, no one gives a shit. There's literally porn wallpapers being posted on this board.
>>

Are you bored enough to post all these papes in 1920x1200 resolution? It is disappointing that 1920x1080 is always the default people go with. I cannot use it without stretching it & losing image quality.
>>
>>7904434
lol tru
>>7904436
if you have any you want in particular, sure, i don’t mind resizing fren
>>
>>7904445
Would you mind - if its possible - resizing the OP (wp7) again but without the cropping (cutting off the side detail) like you managed to do with wp4 >>7899896 ? I hate losing that nice detail. I know its imposing of me to request these things but I don't have access to your files so I can't do it myself. And I really like collecting papes in 1920x1200 res since it nicely covers all the standard PC monitor resolutions up to that size (including 1600x1200).

As for other ones (so hard to choose!) resized to 1920x1200:
>>7902704
>>7899704
>>7904369

Again, if you can resize these from the magicavoxel source files thus without cropping the versions you uploaded here, that would be really great.

With regard to WP1.png >>7899704 , could you expand on the bottom portion instead of the top so we can see more of the stairs?
>>
>>7904452
>With regard to WP1.png >>7899704 , could you expand on the bottom portion instead of the top so we can see more of the stairs?

Maybe do this (add to the bottom) with wp7 too (if you can).

I promise I will not bug you after this (at least for a week!).

Cool. Whatever else you can resize to 1920x1200 from the source files would be appreciated. Bonus points if they're not cropped from the 1920x1080 captures & thus include more detail.
