Been messing around with Dalle2 with expanding some old windows 98 wallpapers.
I've only really done minor touch ups on the images. Not super apt with photo editing tools to really make them great unfortunately.

It's crazy how much this has snowballed since it started at the beginning of this year. It started off with just Gigapixel AI upscales combined with touch-ups in GIMP. Then I got DeNoise AI & Sharpen AI (all from Topaz). Then I started creating image expansions with GIMP followed by Gigapixel upscaling. Then I started playing around with ESRGAN-based Cupscale & its various pre-trained models. Then I started combining the results of different upscales into one image using GIMP layers. Then a HUGE game changer happened with Dalle2. That opened the door to a LOT of new potential wallpapers.I'm not tech-savvy at all so everything I've mentioned should be accessible to the layman (although GIMP has a bit of a learning curve).
