Post old wallpapers here, preferably late 90's, early 2000's. Doesn't have to be "y2k" aesthetic necessarily, there's already a thread for that. Most of these will be low resolution.

For anyone interested, here are some upscaled vintage wallpapers I uploaded in my upscale thread:>>7910234>>7910253>>7910254>>7910257>>7910258>>7910259>>7910260>>7910261>>7910262>>7910264>>7910265>>7910266>>7910267Almost all of these upscales were done by me. If anyone wants me to upscale a tiny pape, let me know. I'll try my best. Not promising any miracles though.

Blessed thread, really good stuff. I miss this era of papes like you wouldn't believe. Thank you bros.
>>7918868I love it too, the worst thing is that I want to try my hand at replicating this style and I have zero clue how to actually do it. Do you reckon any programs they could've used?
>>7918847I use Gigapixel AI to upscale them & I use GIMP to touch them up afterwards. Gigapixel works wonders but sometimes it has a hard time with certain images. And here there was a struggle with the color reproduction. But otherwise, it upscaled nicely.
>>7918928I think they used Bryce software & I think it's still around.
>>7918868>>7918928OP here, really appreciate everyone's contributions I saved everything. Cheers.

>>7918954I'm not sure if this one is ACTUALLY old, but the dimensions and style certainly suggest it.
>>7918955
>>7918868Old papes were kino. It's tempting to switch back to some vintage CRT monitor just to use them again.
>>7918317If you could upscale >>7918584 [cubes] whenever you have time, I would appreciate it greatly. And I would also just like to say thank you for taking time out from your life to share your impressive wallpaper collection with /wg/ - they are all extraordinarily cool. I've saved pretty much all of them and would like to try my hand at making wallpapers in this classic style one of these days.
>>7919648I'm glad you liked them. I just like seeing a nice old wallpaper get upscaled and be given a second life. It's fun.>would like to try my hand at making wallpapers in this classic style one of these days.Same here. I think the program they used back in the day was Bryce & that is still in development.
>>7919648>>7919830Here's another version enhanced with DeNoise AI.
>>7919830>>7919932Saved both of these. Thank you once again for upscaling this awesome wallpaper, along with posting a second version ran through DeNoiseAI(!) - incredibly generous of you. Both versions of cubes look very sharp and they will enjoy a home in my collection of classic wallpapers.
Fun fact: you can dig up lots of obscure gems just by using web.archive.org & searching captures of old websites like DeviantArt, pixelhuset.se , baixaki.ig.com.br/site/lwall16_1.htm , heise.de/ct/motiveHere are some papes by thisign on DeviantArt
