Got any of pre-2000s cars your dad or grandpa would have?
>>7945328what is this from? What is the form of racing?
>>7947140It's a classic car 'rallye', or what rallying used to be way back in the day before it became the commercial highly-monetised global sporting monster that is the WRC.In this case the event is the Suvretta Classic, held (annually?) in the Swiss mountains near St. MoritzThe car pictured is a Group 4 Lancia Stratos HF rally car from the mid-1970's in full Alitalia warpaint (or less likely it's a modern-built kit car designed to look like a Stratos). It's a typically beautifully designed Italian sportscar, but it's apparently burdened with a tiny cockpit and a terrible driving position.
>>7945758If you are a car enthusiast like me and never seen type of F40 before - wonder no more. It is not real - this Ferrari F40 Breadvan was created by Khyzyl Saleem and is based on the Ferrari 250 GT SWB Breadvan.

Thoughts on the new Lexus RX?
>>7949607RX500h fSport
>>7949607>Thoughts on the new Lexus RX?Oversized, overweight, overly-pointless Americanised lifestyle vehicle, also a hybrid which means it's not only utterly redundant, but it exists solely for well-meaning poor/cheap lefty eco-warrior types who can't afford a Tesla to still feel good about themselves for appearing to do their bit to save the planet without them ever having to stop and think that maybe the better solution would be for the car industry to stop making cars increasingly larger and larger by filling them full of eco-destroying batteries and other hi-tech gadgets and instead the car industry should maybe go back to basics and make small, affordable, actually fuel economical, and most importantly fun to drive, cars like the Japanese do with their Kei cars.Because I guarantee a 660cc 4WD turbo Kei car will almost certainly be way more fun, fuel efficient, and eco-friendly, to drive and live with day-to-day than a 3 ton hybrid lifestyle roadboat could ever be.
>>7949609And as for so-called 'sport' editions of lifestyle vehicles, alloy wheels and window tint do not a sporty car make, not in something that probably weighs in somewhere between 2 & 3 tons, so that vehicle's kinda the opposite of the "Simplify, then add lightness" mantra.
>>7949694>poor/cheap lefty eco-warrior types who can't afford a TeslaThe RX is literally the cost of a Tesla. Also not everyone wants to charge their car for hours on a roadtrip.>>7949694>small, affordable, actually fuel economical, and most importantly fun to driveGolf GTI and Polo GTI and GR Yaris>>7949700The engine and the transmission is better on the 500h. 5.9 seconds 0-60. Pretty sporty for a big SUV.

Emmi doin it right, Pa?
>>7950025The modification costed so much he had to sell the rear bumper.
love hot hatches
>>7949747>Also not everyone wants to charge their car for hours on a roadtrip.Don't think I'm in any way defending/promoting Tesla/purely electric vehicles either; just like hybrids, electric vehicles are absolutely not the future of motoring either, at least not in their current hugely environmentally destructive battery-powered/needing to be constantly charged from the electricity grid form.Unfortunately, the technologies, and their patents, that would allow for the production of fun, low-cost, actually eco-friendly vehicles have been stolen and locked away by the U.S. dark government for decades now, leaving the motoring industry chasing each other down various pointless technological cul-de-sacs.- - ->small, affordable, actually fuel economical, and most importantly fun to drive>GR Yaris / Polo GTi / Golf GTiNot sure any of those 3 vehicles actually meet all of those standards, they all certainly meet different combinations of some of the things on the list, but not all. - - ->Pretty sporty for a big SUV.Aye, and imagine how much more sporty (and fun/economical) it'd be to drive if it wasn't such an unnecessarily large vehicle.

>>7950840>Aye, and imagine how much more sporty (and fun/economical) it'd be to drive if it wasn't such an unnecessarily large vehicle.Yeah, for a family of 4 a VW Golf is more than enough.
>>7950932its "enough" but definitely on the small sideespecially as soon as you are transporting other family members or friends

>>7954679looks like a morgan
dont search for how the front looks
>>7954679>>7954681It's a Morgan Aeromax Coupe, likely from some time around the early 2010'sOther than the questionable headlights, that make the car look like it's cross-eyed, the typically Morgan retro bodystyling is actually very good looking.
I am not happy with this thread. Beautiful cars and nice photographs but not many that I would consider excellent wallpapers.

>>7949694based>>7950932The average of children per family is below two in the countries that matter(NA, Euro, Japan and China). The bigger families could go for a SUV, or the better option, the minivan. But that excuse of "family vehicle" is no longer usable
>>7971322wagon >>>>
>>7970941nice
>>7971607True, even a wagon would be preferable to an SUV or minivan if you have a family and require something larger than a regular car.Indeed for the longest time before SUV's and minivans came along, the only option for a larger practical family vehicle was the wagon.
