Gonna do another /comfy/ thread. It's summer and I'm not traveling much but that's when most people do I guess so the theme for the thread is /comfy/ pics that show modes of travel. Car, train, boat, plane, public transit etc. No anime or drawings please. Only real photographs.

>>8073105Something about the taxi meter really adds the cherry on top of the classic "view out the windshield" wallpaper.
>>8072814I've never heard this mentioned here, but grainy pictures tend to make good backgrounds. Sometimes I find wallpapers that are both detailed and high res to be too distracting. On the other hand, a low res image where you can see the pixels is unacceptable. Besides the retro aesthetic, a grainy image has a high resolution feel while removing unnecessary detail.

great thread! Traveling is so comfy
>>8073196Yeah something about a tasteful amount of graininess really adds feeling to a photo. It makes it feel more like a memory or something.

>>8074112How do you have such an incredible collection of photos man? Seems like you live in a beautiful reality (I remember someone saying you only post OC)
>>8074113heh no. I wish. Most all of what I post are not photos I have taken. Just collected.

>>8074804Do you give these wallpapers a bespoke numbering when you decide to make a thread, or do you have your wallpapers numbered based on the folder they're in and you just make a thread based on one of your folders? There could also be a third option that didn't occur to me.
>>8074828I have a master folder which has all of them (currently 9,172) so when I decide to do a thread I'll make a separate folder and copy the ones that fit the theme into there. Then I go through and number them. I enjoy just looking through them.

>>8075445That looks like it could be the centerpiece of a short story or short film. That road goes somewhere.
>>8075558I like to imagine the stories around all these photographs. In what circumstances might I find myself in the place and time when the picture was taken?
>>8075617If anybody has theme suggestions for subsequent threads, lemme know
>>8073129Made this less-saturated version which I think looks better
>>8073210>>8073211Are you trying to say something?
>>8075685I appreciate your threads, OO. How about a alpine theme? Hiking in the Mountains ... or in the Woods ... Forest/Trails/Log Cabins etc.
>>8075685First I wanted to suggest architecture (buildings, cityscapes, structures) but from what I gathered you are not that interested in it? It seems to me your themes tend to not focus on things or objects, are more driven by a general mood. Just a few more ideas:- public spaces: libraries, parks, cafes, malls, graveyards, ...- recreational: sports, outdoor activities, reading, feeding the pidgeons, ...... maybe these two can be combined?- festivities: weddings, festivals, parties, ... (I suspect that's not 'comfy' for you ;))
>>8072442More like this, please!
