There's the short band oscillations, the drum beat, individuals notes, etc, and then there's the long band ones that last maybe a few seconds and are made up of multiple notes or beats. Basically, you just sway (long band) and you wiggle (short band), sometimes freezing or snapping for contrast. Rhythm has patterns and then it will have breaks or variations in those patterns to keep it interesting. Dancing is similar so sometimes you might do a kind of tease where you wiggle one side and when it seems like you're gonna switch to the other side you instead increase the intensity or something.Hold one foot up on its toe and jolt the opposite knee and wiggle the ankle of the toed leg in union in pulses for a few seconds and then switch to the opposite leg but swing your hips in the opposite direction of the outgoing leg. If you do it right it's like a floaty feeling and you can throw the toed leg outwards, maintaining contact with the floor, to create a glide illusion. It's actually a really fun sensory experience to just throw your weight around and let it swing and bounce back and forth.Practice moving each foot toe-heel-toe-heel-toe-heel and you'll be able to make some smoother turns and stuff. Look out for and pay attention to contrasts, things like sizzle and simmer where the rhythm varies in intensity. If there's too much leg and arm work going on simultaneously for too long you'll look autistic so you might wanna alternate dominance on those the way you alternate left and right dominance.
