That's Saturn/El/Janus. He's the god of this realm. His job is to intercept your direct link to the infinite and funnel it either directly into himself or one of his lackeys. This is why heaven/new jerusalem is the final trap for people trying to advance to the next matrix. Essentially, he's chilling directly in new jerusalem, and you can talk to him personally, so it's like a last ditch effort to convince you that god is outside of you, and heaven is there to placate and stagnate you so you don't advance any further. At best, you'll get an angelic body which will give you greater abilities, but will level cap you and bind you even tighter to this matrix. It's like this matrix is the base mmo with a level 100 level cap. The next matrix is like an expansion pack with a level 150 level cap, but saturn is trying to convince you the expansion pack doesn't exist and that you should be happy with his base mmo for all of eternity.And for some reason, the mainstream view of the average non-religious spiritual midwit is that the mmo is evil(because it has stakes and actual substance omg the horror!) and that our highest goal is to just delete the character we've been leveling up over many lifetimes and either just stop existing or exist as some kind of little ghost in an eternal and insubstantial dreamlike state
