I want to believe that the aesthetic of the area around you shouldn't dictate the inner spiritual experiences you can have. That being said: how can I have some transformative spiritual experience when I live in an American home like this with a television and my relatives? I have to go to work soon too, so that's in the back of my mind when I'm trying to meditate.
