It suffered from heavy power creep during the first three years, but that was also when it was most popular. It got a boost in popularity which likely led to extra life with the combo of the Steins Gate's collab and the high Satoko/Rika debut. Note the first developer handling Mei was replaced around when Sotsu ended so it was likely they only planned to let Mei run during the anime's run originally.

At some point though, they started doing dumb stuff, like heavily reducing 6 stars illustrations with paired characters, or doing banner with 2 unpopular characters together (rather than 1 popular to carry the other one) and tried to stop the power creep even though the overall gameplay was unchanged, so there was just less of a reason to roll for new cards. Some Japanese fans complainded about too many Rena/Keiichi, Mion/Keiichi and Satoko/Rika cards, but it's dumb.to hear them if they were selling. They also outright stopped advertising the collabs, just promoting them with just a few extra tweets compared to standard events, no trailers/commercials anymore and obviously they stopped getting attention to the game.

After one year and a half like this suddenly they reduced banners to one card and started doing event reruns every month, something that used to be very rare. This was probably when they had decided to end Mei, just hadn't announced it yet. They also started doing stuff like giving Keiichi cards fairly consistently after he had been shafted post-launch compared to the girls. They also had been doing story updates monthly for a while during those dumb changes I mentioned above, and this part was good, unlike everything else. Then suddenly the story updates stopped when they reduced the number of cards. Like I said, I think this was when they were planning to the end. After a break in story updates, there was a huge final chapter that resolved almost everything although you can see some rushed stuff and last minute changes (like Une who had been helping the 93 party in the final chapters doesn't get a single line in the finale or the quick resolution to the seemingly brainwashed goddess Kazuho, or how one of the TIPs goes back to explore Chisame's/Miyuki's backstory even though it had little to do with the current plot and was there mostly because hinted at it beford) - it feels like this final arc was meant to be a Minagoroshi and they suddenly changed course into Matsuribayashi right as they faced the culprits.

That said, on the positive side, the resolution was pretty good even if not r07ish. The villains were defeated in climatic battles, the resolution was bittersweet but fitting. One disappointing part was that they had been hyping up the God-like entity behind the culprit for years and then... just didn't deal with them at all. It's just implied they won't bother them directly again and that's it. The final chapter says the God villain was related to fragments of tragedies related to another Satoko and if (Mei) Rika saw those fragments she'd get angry at (Mei) Satoko. The cast party outright says the God wasn't a Mei character, so it was probably meant to be Lambda, Sotsu Witch Satoko or something like that, but for some reason I guess r07 pulled out permission from the Mei staff to use her. Based on Kichi Kanou's final message about Mei, the part of Mei's plot elaborated by r07 was all the stuff about parallel worlds so maybe r07 will use that and the God villain in another story.

NTA, but you can manually resise wooden picture frames pretty easily if you know what you are doing.
I'd take a coping saw and carefully cut the groove side of a tongue and groove joint on the side you want shortened, then saw down the other side of the cut until it's the size you want + the length of the tongue, and cut to match. Don't think just because you are making straight cuts you can get away with a tenon, you will need a very fine sawblade to avoid damaging the wood too much.
A little quick and dirty, but with some wood glue and a little linseed oil (or paint, or stain, whatever) you can hide the joint quite well with a little effort. The devil is in making sure you've measured everything right ofc.

Touhou and Higurashi are two series that were destined for crossovers from the very beginning. EOSD and Onikakushi both came out at Comiket 62, and both were original doujinshi works that ended up becoming somewhat mainstream.

Cutting Takano's backstory out of Miotsu was utterly baffling. I guess they thought that it was way too political for console in the PS2 era, so they just decided to hack it all out. The story doesn't even make sense without it, though. You need Tokyo's suicidally nationalistic venture of developing bioweapons, and the party battle of what to do with the remains of the project after the adults in the room find out about it.

Has anyone here ever cosplayed Kinzo or Battler?
Need advice on homemaking one- I don't really want to look cheap when I go to Anime North this year, so I'm hoping to only need to buy the wig and cape. I know I can buy most of their stuff at an store that sells men's clothes, issue is the wing, can I get that sown in by paying extra? And the bigger issue is the custom buttons and cross zipper, but I assume those shouldn't be too hard to add.
