Alright, I was going to make this post when he was under immense fire, but he decided to publicly apologize in the thread, so I gave him what little good faith I had left and expected him to actually change for the better. What a fucking mistake for me to have made.Plain Sight is the fakest motherfucker in the world and a genuine, peko-tier (or worse) scourge on this community as well as others. And no, I'm not here to mainly complain about him forcing an unfunny meme on the board or playing like an absolute fucking basement dweller in the server, although both of those are emblematic of his complete lack of care for the health of this server and thread. If you think you are friends with him, the most likely case is that you are not. Obviously, anyone can tell that Plain Sight plays a character on the server, and initially I thought he was nothing more than a person of intrigue on the server. Over time, however, since his initial contact with this thread and his continuous activity in this community, it has become increasingly apparent to me that he has nothing but malintent and ingame killstreaks to offer this server. One thing of note Plain Sight did when he entered this community was add lots of people as friends on steam. In fact, he talked to numerous people every single day, seemingly extending a little bit of socialization and friendship to lots of people from the server. Many people, even those who have been here for a while, have not had this kind of close friendship on the server before. It feels really nice to have someone go out of their way to talk to you every single day. But it was entirely a facade. As I have heard from almost every single person I have asked about the experience of this spontaneous conversation with Plain, it consists of nothing except regurgitated lines, day after day, following the character he plays in the server. You know how Plain talks, it's become intertwined with the dashfag meme. Well, for those of you who don't know, he talks exactly the same in DMs to most of the people on this server. So while it may have initially seemed to these people like Plain is your friend, it quickly becomes nothing more than a hollow daily interaction, where nothing is ever properly conversed because Plain is incapable of speaking outside his rehearsed lines in his character. When I initially realized he was acting this way to numerous people, I genuinely thought he was just a poor autist who wanted to interact and socialize amongst the community under the title of his OC's character, without having the social graces to actually build meaningful friendships beyond these routine conversations. There was a point where I considered reaching out further to him and trying to reach beyond the veil of his character and find out who the true creator of Plain Sight was. All of this, however, changed when I went to Mare Fair.

As I spent more time with him, however, it became very apparent that my expectation was completely wrong. Plain Sight in real life came off as an exceedingly normal person. He spent a lot of time with Ebonyglow and the group around him, and it was obvious that he was completely comfortable and acted totally normal around these people. I personally learnt during the con the idea behind the "Plain Sight" character: The name obviously originates from the phrase, "hiding in plain sight." If you didn't know, the OC is a robot pony who pretends to be a real one. This explains many things about the character he portrays in the server - the robotic, awkward typing style which seems almost like an extremely primitive AI. After understanding the origin of the character, as well as realizing that the person behind Plain Sight is absolutely nothing like the character he portrays, it became somewhat disconcerting that I knew multiple people (which I later came to understand was MANY people) had these strange, distant-feeling "friendships" based upon daily conversation with the Plain Sight character. In particular, one friend of mine considered himself very close friends with Plain due to these regular conversations, but as far as I could tell after Mare Fair, none of that friendship was reciprocated by the real guy. And yet, despite the somewhat dodgy activity of building a fake persona online and socializing with it, I didn't have any real problems with Plain Sight during the time immediately after the convention. But something else he did at the convention was what led me to initially sour my opinion of him. Plain Sight created a new discord account at Mare Fair to add people from /mlptf2/. I figured this was because he didn't have discord before the convention, and needed a platform to talk to all of his "friends" from the tf2 panel. In reality, Plain Sight already had a discord account, and the discord account he made for Mare Fair was nothing more than a way for him to keep distance from the people of /mlptf2/. He abandoned the discord account some time after the convention. This, in my opinion, shows that he has absolutely no good intentions for the people of this server. But, oh boy, that is not where his deception ends. Remember when he told everyone that he was a new player to the game? I think everyone can now realize how much of a blatant lie that is considering his 15-tier skill and gameplay on the server.

Sleezus and Ghost may have short tempers and get insult-slinging-tier pissed over simple facets of the game they play, and Jukebox may be an absolute stomping force, but at least they have actual friends in the server. At least they don't mislead people into nonexistent, hollow friendships with a persona that doesn't actually exist. And Jesus, at least they have a modicum of care for the health of the game. No other high-skill player ruins the balance as much as Plain Sight, and it's not just because Plain Sight is the best. 15 is definitely in the same basket as Plain when it comes to skill, but he doesn't ruin games as soon as he joins. 15 knows to swap to spy or trolldier in the interest of team balance and only pulls out the stock demo when he's on a team that's getting stomped. Plain Sight is the complete opposite of this. Not only does he tryhard as much as possible in order to get his beloved high killstreaks, but if you end one of his killstreaks as he plays, say, sniper, it is entirely likely for him to switch to an EVEN MORE POWERFUL CLASS, such as the dreaded stock demo, and punish your entire team for killing him a single time. I don't have any problems with someone who is simply good at the game, but I do have problems with people who act in the complete disinterest of the server's community and fun. Taunt sliding was once a fun, neat glitch that our plugins returned to the server, but because Ebonyglow did nothing but abuse it constantly ad nauseam, it was removed. Plain does a similar thing, abusing reverts on occasion, but has the skill to completely stomp the game regardless of whether or not he uses something 15 could nerf (such as the loch-n-load), or something 15 would never change, such as the stock sniper rifle.tl;dr, Plain Sight is not your friend, and he has less care for the server than anyone else. He has a pattern of extremely dishonest and manipulative behavior as well as a complete disregard for /mlptf2/ in its entirety. He should be just as shunned as other undesirables of the past, but because he has a seemingly nice outside, he simply is not.
