Peak animation hard carried that film. Emotionally, very little of the movie stood out to me, and even stylistically, I think it wasn't nearly as cool as it was beautiful. Event wise, I have some vague recollections: D showed up to some vampire hunters, one of which had big titties, there was some girl that a vampire kidnapped, then D killed the dude and the vampire lady who had a schizo rant about D being a dunpeel. Then I read up about the series and realized that D is nearly a gary-stu and his dad is unbelievably broken, far beyond what's required for a vamp story.
