What happens to shelf-warmers that can't even sell at places like Ollie's and other discount stores? What is the final resting place for toys like these?
>>
>>10972749
Landfill/dumped into the ocean or sold to China and then dumped into the ocean.
>>
>>10972749
Sent to India and Africa and sold for double msrp. Since they are gullible bastards they end up buying it.

They need to stop making figures of characters that only people who don't buy toys like.
>>
>>10972760
>>10972765
It's still pretty sad. What if there's like 3 people in the world who wouldn't mind it, or maybe a community who could use it for custom fodder? I guess the last hope is that it circulates enough through swap meet/donation bins that someone would find it
>>
>>10972765
You love to see it.
>>
>>10972749
I paid 24 dollars for this chink just for the piece, fuck me.
>>
>>10972787
Because no one wants to buy an Agent Jimmy Woo action figure? Or because whatever scale you collect would clog the shelves less/more with its unwanted boxes?
>>
>>10972757
nobody in africa buying this shit.

I know some people were using him to make James Sunderland. He’s a good base body
>>
>>10973019
Agent Jimmy Woo is a national icon in Africa you insensitive uneducated prick
>>
>>10973050
Bro, put in at least a little effort if you want to start a flame war over scales or whatever it is. Like If I'm gonna read some bait, it's gotta have a good hook. Literal 0/10
>>
>>10973054
always great to see another woohead out in the wild. woo on, brother !!
>>
>>10973055
Wow, a 1/12 scale faggot apologist. Jesus Fucking Christ.
>>
>>10973070
That's a little bit better, maybe you could try adding a picture of a figure with something circled in red for dramatic effect?
>>
>>10972766
I wouldn't be surprised if Disney mandated these to be made rather than trusting the expertise of a toy company to figure out what actually sells and what doesn't
>>
>>10973334
They do mandate these MCU figures. I don't get how you mouth breathing retards haven't figured this out yet. It's been mentioned a billion times at this point.
>>
>>10972749
I don't understand what compels a company to make figures of random ass characters that don't appear beyond some episodes of a TV adaptation, instead of an obscure comic character that might get some people interested.
>>
>>10973640
The license holder is what compels a company to make a character like what you describe. I'm beginning to think you're all fucking idiots since you can't grasp this.
>>
>>10973674
Are you new? Disney is retarded.
>>
>>10972765
Ahahahahahahaahahahaa
>>
>>10973674
Disney forces them to make all the characters.

>Landfill/dumped into the ocean

this. capitalism is literally killing the planet
>>
is ross equivalent to ollies or is it more of a clothing/fashion store with a few extras?
>>
>>10973640
ignoring issues of political correctness if hasbro had their way they'd probably dump the mcu and sequel trilogy completely, all of disney's active brands besides xmen-97, and just recycle classic content. this is too embarrassing for disney to accept.
>>
>>10972749
Dang wish my Ollie’s got cool stuff like that. I would buy that FBI guy to go with my X-files figures…
>>
>>10972749
Seeing that it's like Disney is now allergic to money. Like someone with a peanut allergy. Just doesn't want to make money at all.
>>
>>10974182
It's because their credit score depends so much on them pushing DEI shit

I'm not going to pretend to understand it, I'd much rather make money by giving people what they want than from a toxic relationship with globalist investors
>>
>>10972776
>What if there's like 3 people in the world who wouldn't mind it, or maybe a community who could use it for custom fodder
I mean, people who make customs already bought a bunch to make customs with or just went on ebay to buy it.
>>
>>10972765
I'm curious, does anyone knows what's the toy that's being destroyed?
>>
>>10977155
It doesn't look like there's anything on the box itself to identify it by so it's probably those mystery toys
>>
>>10973958
Communists who refuse to gauge demand when producing are killing the planet. Capitalism is the solution to that.
>>
Then there's NECA... My Walmart has exactly 5 NECA figures amidst empty pegs... The AC/DC man wearing a british school boy's uniform. Why. No one's going to buy this. WHY.
>>
>>10977230
>Communists
I didn't know mega corporations that literally own everything were commie bastards
>>
>>10977155
The 36" fuckable Darth Vader
>>
>>10978254
disney's pegwarmers exist for reasons outside issues of simple supply and demand.
>>
>>10974184
They don't need to make a profit or break even because they're financially rewarded by gigantic investment firms for behaving this way, and the investment firms giving out blank checks for pushing nigger faggots on everyone are doing it to destroy and divide white culture since we're the only ones with empathy enough to attempt to genocide them for the greater good.
>>
>>10974156
Yea, l'd love a pile of cheap plain clothed FBI bodies. Drop some extra heads on ema d you get generic good guy mooks for your villains to bully. Sadly stores by me never get good discounts like that.
>>
>>10972749
>What is the final resting place for toys like these?
If it's Canada, they'll eventually wind up on the toy wall at your local Dollarama being sold for $5
>>
>>10977155
funko slop
>>
>>10972749
woobros...it's over....
>>
>>10973964
Ross is a shithole with but a few leftover MLP toys and coloring books. Never found a single worthwhile figure in my life at Ross anywhere in America, though your mileage may vary.
>>
Ollies doesn't throw stuff away. They just let it rot on shelves forever.
>>
got my Reva from Ollie’s today, there was only 2 left
>>
>>10973958
Theoretical, a company does it once than stop that or go bankrupt. This is some ideology based stuff.
Most analysts know what people want or buy.
>>
>>10977155
I'm pretty sure it's a Star Wars-themed Funko mystery box from several years ago when the Loot Crate fad was dying out. There were news stories about how much merchandise they pulped at the time.
>>
>>10978635
yeah that's what I figured damn. ollie's sounds like it'd be amazing to have around.

They need to make one of those warehouse stores, but all it sells is shit nobody wants for like $1. Can straight up call it the junk store.
>>

Based on what I see people getting on clearance on WalMart and what I have occasionally seen myself on clearance when hitting a larger Target in parts of the county that aren't near me, I'd rather be making a decent (actual living) wage as some kind of driver or even gig person who could regularly hit up some stores across a large urban county AND also have an Ollie.

I've found some worthwhile stuff at Ross but more fodder or to think about flipping (EBay) or to gift; Burlington less so but YMMV depending on what you want. TJ Maxx is also an option as is Marshall's but you want to make sure they sell toys. Big Lot's is another option.

There are no Ollie's in my part of the country FWIW.
>>
>>10972765
What if, hear me out, since the product is already made they give it away for free?
>>
>>10983433
>punishing poor ass kids with shitty dolls
damn anon have a heart, would ya?
>>
>>10983435
You're right, someone would still find a way to monetize it, taking more than they need, and trying to hock it on ebay.
I was thinking more abstractly, like reusing the materials somehow? A large artful epoxy sculpture made from the ground up Funkos. Like a stained glass look, or putting it into concrete murals in a park, like confetti?

This
Remove the (((investors))) and it will solve itself
>>10974184
They were paid FOR pushing this shit
They primary revenue making is pushing the ideology of (((investors))) not entertainment
>>10978264
>whites are the only one who wanted to kill them
Eh..Babylonian and Persians tried it first anon
But Too bad their own “pets” are on the verge of hanging them
Also, anyone find it funny that when it was for negro the floyd, cops didn’t do shit, the looters did whatever they wanted (and if they got arrested, they were released the next day thanks to funds provided by Hollywood and celebrities), and if anyone stood agaisnt vandalizers , cops and politicians would demonize them instead?
Oh and even covid were a non issue when it came to their “right” to loot?
Remember that?
Now? The moment they said something about the “chosen” all politicians demonized them, cops came in and packed them up swiftly, university is throwing them out, and no celebrities come to rescue them out.
It’s funny because they genuinely thought the floyd de negroid protest was “organic” and they know how to “organize protests” and that their skin color makes them special.
Also, I do think toy consumption (and everything else) going to decrease in the years to come, in general, thanks to the almost 100% increase of cancer in young people. Who even said that 3 out of 4 would have experienced cancer by 2050. All this means that young people going to feel more about mortality than “being invencible” which is a reversal of what young people felt , in the last 50 years or so
>>
>>10972749

Some of them end up in trash zones, others in EBAY but nobody buys them, etc.
>>
>>10972749
discount stores mark them down over time, it all sells at some point
>>
The Ollie's near me has had entire boxes full of Lightning Collection Zeo Ranger 2 for months. Just her. They didn't even bother unpacking and putting them on pegs. They're just still in the boxes they shipped in. No one's bought any from what I can tell and they clog up an entire third of the toy aisle. I'm not sure when they give up and toss stock but I feel like it's long past time.
>>
>>10983433
Nobody wants it. Even for free.
>>
>>10987510
Is it a black character?
>>
>>10978355
I've seen a lot of McFarlane stuff at Dollarama. Not DC Multiverse though.
