Found in the "Low Miles No Miles" public Facebook group. What's wrong with these people?
>>27659699>he thinks that's an actual check engine lightYou're a fucking retard.
>>27662969You in DFW? And yeah, he's relisted all of his corvettes for well over a year, now just realize each month its $5 per listing. Now realize how many people would rather pay craigslist probably hundreds of dollars instead of just taking a couple thousand less on offers. But that corvette is probably a $16-20k model given its overall condition. Its weird seeing collectors value their own cars and just being wrong because one time they saw a similar car go on auction for that much.

The car responded, but fuck all is happening at the moment. Is the GB40 capable of trickle charging?Picrel
>>27662725They’re lifesavers. Most of the time you don’t know your battery is dying until it leaves you stranded. And like 30% of the time it’s because the battery drops a cell and goes to ~10.4V without warning and testing the battery health a week earlier would never tell you it’s about to die.For $50-$75 to have the thing in the trunk and be able to help save your own ass or help friends and family or even strangers, it’s not a bad buy. Even if it saves you once, that’s cheaper than calling a tow company to jump your car, and it’s cheaper than buying quality jumper cables that don’t take 20min to charge up the dead car.I’ve bought half a dozen jumper bricks for friends and family and they’re great. Even the Chinese ones have been lasting >5 years easily. The oldest one from 2017 or 2018 is finally starting to have a cell bulge a little bit.
>>27662689I've only got a 1.6lt little hyundai. I heard that the GB40's are good enough to start up 6 cylinders so I went for it>>27662675There is an override. Is it safe to leave the thing on override for more than 30 or so minutes latched onto the battery?
>>27662675Thist. fellow gooloo chad
>>27662462GB40's are trash and don't have enough amperage to overcome a completely flat battery that's sulfated itself to death. You need a Gooloo, see >>27662675

What is the most nice colour?red maroon or blue?
It's a nissan versa who cares

Blue.

is a 944 a good car?
>>27660334These things are awesome as long as you're willing to do the (often) regular maintenance yourself. I've dailyed multiple 944's, spec raced them, and my last daily 944 had 400k miles on the original bottom end before I sold it. They're legitimately not that bad to work on (I learned to wrench on these when I was a 16 year old, half retarded wrenchlet), and they're fun to drive. They have an excellent community around them, there's extremely detailed guides online on any job you'd ever need to do on one.The biggest downside is the lack of aftermarket. There's not much power left on the table, so don't expect to do much modding. If you like balanced, but slow 80s cars, they're some of the best.
>>27660334They were the more expensive and underperforming fc rx7, but now they're cheaper and pretty much just as good since both chassis have aged a fair bit. I'd still take a turbo II over a 944 turbo at the same price but even at that you can't find a turbo II under like $15k for a clapped out one
>>27660349you're thinking of the 924 sonny. the 944 is a fully porsche design. the engine is a 928 block cut in half.
>>27661083The 944 is still heavily based on the 924 and built in the same plant.
>>27662089factual, but doesn't disprove anything that I said. the 944 block (all years/models) is a pure porsche design.
Car designs that aged like milk
>>27662479I kinda like it, but I guess I think any car looks cool when it's clean and taken care of.
>>27661097>>27661325What is this? Tape residue?
>>27661772Are you really dissing the design of the E39 zoomer? E38,E39,E46 are objectively seen as the last good designs that company put out.

>>27660789>>27660793grill looks like fence wire. chrome looks like plastic. headlights come from a truck. sticking it's ass out like a dog in heat. overall shit design.
A friend of mine wants a cheap sports car to impress women, he can spend 15k. I told him to get a mazda rx8, but he said it didnt look imposing enough. what would you tell him, /o/?

>Most practical kind of vehicle you could buy in 2024>Is the single most humiliating thing you could be seen driving inHow do I get over the shame of owning a minivan? I'm pretty young and the thought of picking up a girl in one of these makes me not want to get one.
I'm honestly thinking about selling my Focus for a Honda FR-V with decent mileage (<100k). I could carry bikes inside and still seat 3 people in the front.
>>27660022What about a VW Touran? Seems to have a pretty versatile interior as well.
>>27659335>How do I get over the shame of owning a minivan? Buy a cheap one so you that way have money left over for a fun car for all the times when you don’t have to drive a minivan.Same premise as owning a beater pickup along with a fuel-sipping compact.

How retarded is this? My boomer dad is obsessed with trying to get me to buy shit like this because it's usually over 50% off. Pic related has been fixed to look brand new and has 10,000 miles, and is going for $18k. I however think this is fucking stupid and a liability. Anyone with experience?
>>27661797>fucking stupid and a liability. Anyone with experience? If it's fully repaired and not just nigger rigged there's nothing wrong with the car itself other than the title. It's not a liability unless you are overly concerned with resale value or insurance value.
>>27661797>Anyone with experience?Me and my friend import like 20 of this to the slavland so we bowling. We fix them in here and sell them. But you in Burgerland with Burgerland mechanics and prices...you going to be rape boy. Copart don't give a fuck, you never know what you buying, unless you check it. Body damage in new cars are tricky as fuck, all those cables modules. Without experience you don't know location of this shit in the car. Copart is gambling, but I'm in eastern europe shithool smoking malboro gold and you anon are in USA. Cars here are much more expenisive then in your country and sometimes even we don't make good money.
>>27662767So i don't know how ppl in US can make profit fixing those cars in US. Like here with much more cheap labor we often cut corners to make money. Sorry i don't answered the question in first post. I'm little drunk. If you ask me, slavland rebuild cars seller NO don't do it. Unless they show you what they done part by part. Show you picture of damage ect. Rebuild business is shady as fuck i know this first hand

>>27662767>>27662782Thanks for the honesty. IMO I agree with you as far as modern cars and module/circuits and sensors. Even if it was fixed decently the cars computing system is going to re-fuck-ulate it somehow
im going to give a girl a ride to another town tonight. gonna be about a 1hr drive. What can i add to my passenger seat to maximize the odor absorption of this girl sitting on it for an hour? I already have cloth seats
by passenger seat I mean trunk
>>27662512Just ask her if she'd like to go for a couple of drinks before leaving and have her drink a lot. Then when she gets the urge to pee, tell her she can go on the seats, that you can clean it out later. Or if you prefer, keep an empty bottle and tell her to go in it and then close it tight and put it under the seat and you'll get rid of it later. Then you can taste her pee and pour it on you back at home
I feel like we have this "How to maximize female smell absorption" thread at least once a week.
>>27662512There's a way easier way.>go to store>buy women's parfume>spray onto any object>smells like womenCrazy, i know.
>>27662904Go back. >>27662512I think what you do is keep a towel in the boot of your car and have a few water bottles around. Something flimsy and plastic. If you're some sort of impressive person, have study notes in your passenger seat or something. Open the door for her and say "Sorry about the mess. I have to keep my mind on my dissertation. I'm glad you're coming out with me. I could use a good break"After you clear up the papers, strategically spill the water bottle in the passenger seat. Apologize and say "Here, I'll have some towels here for you"Make her sit on the towels and they will be very slightly damp, thus absorbing the smells of her crack and farts for later use.

>>27658292I never did. When I was a teenager I read Aristotle and he said that a good life is also measured by a good death, which is a death that corresponds to the life lived, i.e. a warrior dying in battle.I realized that dying in traffic was the most pathetic way for me to go - I hate traffic, other drivers and the current state of highways - so I try to minimize the risks.
>>27658464Occasionally I will do for a highway drive about 1am on a weeknight. Such little traffic and no cops, it's the only time I can get higher than 120. Still haven't been able to reach 175 but I will some day.
