Put a mag where the cleaning kit was so you have 4 on your carrier and throw two into your battle belt or pants so you have 6 mags ready to go + 1 in your gun. If they're so long that that's not enough space for the excess then just cut em shorter, dude, but on mine I have about 1.5 extra inches of velcro on those channels if I needed to choke the straps up more.
