I hate this game!! I swear, it's like the regular games but 10x the luck based. I'm fine with losing, but losing because I was unlucky really grind my gears. The amount of time of me just having a basic pokemon on my side, waiting for a energy card and get nothing but stage 1 and stage 2 pokemon is infuriating. It's even worse when trying to relearn the strength and weakness of every types all over again, especially since this is Gen 1 version of the cards.

>>55840448theme-wise it has a lot of overlap with fairy as the magical type, in general fairy kind of awkwardly borrows a lot of thematics from psychic, normal, and even grass. psychic feels like it should be a premiere utility/support typing and if the type were to be buffed I think a gimmick would be the best way to do it rather than type chart changes, maybe psychic types can read the opponent's held items when they hit the field or have a reduced chance to be crit because they can foresee the attacks coming

Same with a G-max Intelion that I had caught around the same time. I had 0/1 luck for the two runs, though it helps if you can aggressively roll for it (if using starters with good egg moves for example).

Even the head writer, Tomioka, was balancing a number of different shows while managing the team for DP. This sort of stuff comes with the territory and I doubt they take it too seriously. Obviously they want to make what they're given the best they can, but what can they do if a director decides to reboot something? Plus with Pokemon, it's a good gig that provided consistent income, and pretty much all of the writing and animation staff are freelancers.
