They're meant to hang under an airplane wing or sit on top of one and that's pretty much it, they were never meant to be part of a body. inspired partially by the airspeeder Anakin stole on Coruscant, but also the color and rear end by the speed champions McLaren F1 LM kit I recently built.I just really wanted to use those chrome blades. Apparently they only appear in like 2 or 3 sets, these appear to have been from Jack Stone 4619 as the random Legos these came in with also contained the airplane parts. Unfortunately I'm missing the third turbine this set would have come with. I used up almost all of my orange detail pieces getting this looking OK and theres still some places I'd redo if I had more variety of orange pieces.still I think it turned out decently, it looks mostly like the idea I had in my head.mostly.

>>10996432The ass end of the turbine housings I have one of those 6 hole with 1 in center things with 6 technic combo pegs put around the outside with bushings on them, I used one newer style smooth bushing and one older style toothed bushing to add some texture and greebling.unfortunately this part of the engine which I think is one of the cooler parts, is not as prominent as I had hoped in my head. well originally it was going to be more body and much sleeker but I realized how limited my orange parts were so I had to improvise, so I decided to make grey an accent color and do some exposed engine to take up some visual space.if I had more orange plates and curves and slopes, this would look a lot different I think.that's about all I got this morning. feels good to have a cohesive MOC come out mostly like the image that was in my head.

Very excited. I found someone on Facebook selling the Forest Hideout new in box for $30. One of the few castle sets I wanted as a kid and I missed out on the GWP but wanted it, never enough to overpay online. But I'll gladly just hand a person $30 to get it today. I built this little space mech.Current City Space is really cool and they have some interesting colors. I especially like the pearl blue-purple they use on the battery pack things and the red-orange accents.
